      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. How are you guys dealing with caves?

What seed are you using? Because so far all the seeds I've played are either missing copper with some tet or missing kalonite. The "bioems" (for lack of a better word) are also scaled for mass exploration by sea and land while horses take a full year to tame and boats just... their vanilla.
  2. How are you guys dealing with caves?

I find myself placing supports on chiseled-smothed stone three high and one block in width and mining four-five deep and three high and placing another set of supports while i find the middle of the vein using the technique Kitty uses in her video. Then repeating the same process of placiing supports right underneath those where the center is. Rinse and repeat.
  3. Musket Add-On Concept

    lol... miner wins the internet.
  4. Body Temperature: Simplified

How will temperature effect animals? Will we have to make armor for different climates for horses? Can sheep and cows live in desert and arctic climates? Will animals continue to spawn in the same places (sheep in hills chickens in jungles and warmer latitudes) What about underground? Will we have to have a change of clothing when we mine? Will we have to wear warming gear or hats to shield from the sun on top of the armor or instead of the armor? How will metal armor handle swimming or crossing a river?
  5. Musket Add-On Concept

how would this be different from Extrafima's Cross bow? Other than requiring top tier materials, it would still take time to load, would it be useful against skeletons? I'm all for adding uses to the red/blue steel/mid-to-end-game, but other than the wish-fulfillment of bearing arms in most mods what would be the point? (no offense intended).
  6. [Solved] Bloomery lost

^took the words right out of my mouth. :Op It works for me as well, just place charcoal down and it flies forward. GL M8.
  7. Wiki Edits/Suggestions

Lol Great job on the updated page. I don't think anyone will miss it now lol, never let it be said that you aren't diligent when implementing suggestions to the wiki. It's everywhere lol :OP
  8. Wiki Edits/Suggestions

lol I did read it but others seem to miss it: "Scott J. Fox 9 hours agoEtho, just so you know the slots where you have sticks in the Forge actually keep things warm; nothing will cool down there. It's very useful for working with multiple ingots & things. This isn't a fake tip, it says so on the wiki as well. "maybe a bolder font for those who think the wiki is a gospel. lol only a suggestion though, I think it's fine that we should read the change-logs for every mod we use.
  9. Wiki Edits/Suggestions

I'm sure it's been said many times and in different ways, but people are still getting confused about slots 11-14 on the forge because it states on the wiki: "Items in slot 11-14 retain their temperature. This is useful when trying to deal multiple items." Unless I'm missing something, in build 78 they lost that functionality, and slot 3 warms at the same rate as 1,2,4,5. Right? Anyhow thanks for all you do, I'm sure little changes to the wiki with all the updates keeps anyone too busy to function.
  10. Metal Nuggets.

Even that low res option would've made the first few attempts at mixing red steel or even Black bronze way easier. At least now I can use these as a visual aid, even though I've already figured out most of the mixing by now. The issue is when you log out and come back to a crucible with 30% Steel and 70% Black Bronze and you're left wondering: 30% of what? This helps to narrow that down. never knew 1 pixel=30 units, that literally helps a ton. Thank you for your patience and quick replies.
  11. Metal Nuggets.

yeah I was referring to tick marks showing how much liquid metal was in the gauge. A texture pack you say? any suggestion?
  12. Metal Nuggets.

Hmm it would be more efficient if the crucible had a gauge as well. I mean usually when mixing ores you already know the math and have everything ready, but if you for some reason log out then when you return you have slightly less of a clue as to exactly how much liquid metal is in the crucible. Unless it's intentionally made so that it's more difficult to mix/smelt using the crucible, without one, a gauge would be welcome. Plz and thank youz.
  13. Day of the birth of Dunk

I did not realize this, mostly because durring the night I'm mining (or runing, yup runing) and don't look up at the sky as much. Thanks for the link.
  14. Day of the birth of Dunk

derp.Thank you both. I just don't know why lol I thought... LoL
  15. Day of the birth of Dunk

Speaking of this 8 day calendar, what is the 8th day called? Sunday to Saturday and then?
