I like the *idea* of having specific "tastes" for each character. In my first TFC 79 world, I spawned in a pretty homogenous environment that did not have a lot of fruit. I have made it to late summer, but my max nutrition has dropped to 300. I acknowledge that I am not eating a "balanced" diet, but it seems pretty impossible for me to try and keep up with my ever decreasing max health. I am also eating a lot of sandwiches that contain both meat and vegetables, but only my grain meter remains high. It has been a few days since the last post in this thread, so I wanted to see if there was any word from the devs about whether this was working as intended. As is, without any information on the wiki, it is very frustrating to figure out how to keep my max health up. Some starter questions: How is the max health related to the nutrition statistics?Is it possible to have a high max health when not eating one category (usually Dairy)?Should I be eating raw ingredients of various to increase my nutrition statistics, or making sandwiches?Is the best procedure to just keep making sandwiches until one of the tastes has "Very" or greater, even if this wastes food?Do sandwiches give nutrition in each category?Is it possible to make a more nutritious sandwich with the Novice cooking score, or do I have to level up first? Thanks for any guidance, I would really rather not break my immersion by having to kill myself every few months to reset the meter to 1000.

I figured it out! It was still a Mac/Java issue. I have Oracle's 64-bit Java 7 installed, per Kitty's suggestion, and 1.7 shows up when I do "java -version" from the Terminal. However, Minecraft was still launching with Java 6. I followed the instructions in this post, to launch the Minecraft Launcher using Java 7: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/1858141-minecraft-x64-for-mac-with-java-7?comment=12 For future reference for anyone having this problem, I now have to launch the Minecraft launcher with this command in the terminal: java -d64 -Xms4096M -Xmx5130M -jar Minecraft.app/Contents/Resources/Java/Bootstrap.jarAnd now everything works! I am now happily using your excellent mod, Dries. If anyone has a suggestion how I can permanently force the vanilla launcher to use 64-bit Java 7 on a Mac, I would appreciate it! Edit: I wandered down this rabbit hole:https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-1049 Seems like the best solution is to right click Minecraft in the Applications folder, select "Open Package Contents," navigate to Contents/Resources/Java and drag Bootstrap.jar into the "Documents" section of the Dock for easy opening.

Sorry, I should have stated that the only pages I get when I press U on the stack of rocks are Shaped Crafting (two pages, one with: rock + stick = lever, four rocks = cobble, and a second page with six rocks = wall) and Shapeless Crafting (rock/stick/feather = arrow, rock/chisel = brick). I am unable to get a knapping screen from rocks, a pottery screen from clay, or a loom screen from string.

The 'R' and 'U' keys only seem to work if the object is made (or is used in) a regular crafting recipe. Whether it's in the NEI sidebar, or in my inventory, using either 'R' or 'U' on an axe head brings up the 'Uses' screen, and only shows shaped crafting. Using 'U' on the stack of rocks in my inventory brings up the 'recipe' screen. http://imgur.com/a/Mh48y

Thank you! I had forgotten that the Java-6-on-Mac/Forge conflict ended with MC 1.6, and I could finally use Java 7. Everything loads okay now, but none of the TFC-NEI features work, like the knapping or pottery screens. Crafting recipes work fine, though. Perhaps there is still some issue with NEI/Chicken Chunks versions?

What versions of NEI and Chicken Core are supported by this plugin? I tried: Forge 10.13.1.1217 TerraFirmaCraft 0.79.3 CodeChickenCore 1.0.2.9 (recommended build) NEI 1.0.2.15 (recommended build) FastCraft 1.9 On a Mac running Java 1.6.0_65 Everything loads fine when I use all but TFC-NEI.
