      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Animal feed - silage

I noticed that it takes quite a bit of grain to maintain/develop familiarity with any more than a couple animals. Are there plans on adding the ability to build a silo and make silage, or something similar? It would also give a use for straw which after the thatch change is far less useful. Perhaps a silo could be a multiblock structure with an inventory (similar to a barrel in solid mode), where you add grain+straw and/or 'raw' oats/wheat/rye/etc. (prior to processing with a knife), then seal it and wait for a month+? Thoughts?
  2. If you want to edit the wiki.

Well that's embarrassing, I didn't notice that the requirement is only one of the three, not all 3 (and I also didn't realize the policy was that new). Thanks for letting me know!
  3. This or a split-in-half hotkey would be very useful. As for the hotkey idea -- what if it worked similar to the 'S' and 'D' hotkeys? I.e., mouse over a food item and hit 'H' and it cuts the food item in half and puts the extra stack in your hand. That avoids creating extra items in the inventory and goes along with the 'S' and 'D' hotkey convention (mouse over, requires knife in inventory).
  4. If you want to edit the wiki.

I'd love to contribute to the wiki. I was trying to add some info from the changelogs just now, but it seems that you need to be manually authorized to edit pages. The only way I'm going to get 100+ forum posts is by posting 'thanks' a bunch, or similar content-free posts, which I'm just not going to do. I've been playing minecraft for a long time, and TFC since 1.6.4. Is there any chance the TFC admin people would reconsider the wiki editing policy to make it easier for people like me to contribute? Adding notes to talk pages don't really work unless there's frequent discussion on them and, critically, unless the editor(s) of that page are active in implementing suggestions. I realize you have to balance edit permissions with vandalism and wrong info making it on the pages, but MediaWiki has methods to help or even automate that. What about edit ability, but the edits must be approved manually? And too many incorrect/inappropriate edits and editing is disabled for that user? Is there any chance this policy will ever change? My apologies if this is the wrong place for this.
  5. Food don't matter

    Ahh, that makes sense.
  6. Oh no! I got so excited reading the features of the mod. Is there a chance of someone else taking over development/is the original author open to a fork, or is it really dead?
  7. Food don't matter

Is there a way to tell what the satisfaction level of a food item is, other than eating it and manually timing how fast hunger decays?
