      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Mastery

If I were to develop a mastery, I would love to open a restaurant on a server. I'd grow all my own food, grind my own flour, bake my own bread, and maybe sell recipe books as well.
  2. Metamorphic Stone?

No, because they are still biomes. "Biome" is not some made-up video game word. It refers to climate-determined communities of similar organisms. Plains, deciduous forest, boreal forest, tropical forest, are all examples of biomes that still exist in TFC. Right now I'm living in a temperate evergreen forest. I know this because of all they sequoias around (and because when I hit F3, the biome readout is still there and changes when I move to different biomes).
  3. Can't get bronze?

Ah, it's not just that they have to be liquid. Sbdaynham was correct. I just tested making bismuth bronze again and the bismuth and tin had to be a bright red stage. This seems like a bug, since when making regular bronze all the metals simply have to be liquid.
  4. I have also had trouble making bismuth bronze. I did it once, then made some regular bonze, and haven't been able to make bismuth bronze again since. I've made plenty of regular bronze with no trouble, so I don't think its that I'm heating them incorrectly.
  5. Soils

It does seem like the soil that is sort of gravely textured does not grow trees, but through some experimentation this seems to be a biome thing rather than a block ID thing.
  6. Soils

I've noticed there are several different distinct soil types in TFC. Are these blocks just different looking or do they affect things like tree growth or crop growth?
  7. Does depth matter?

I know that rock layer matters for ore generation, but does depth also matter (like in vanilla minecraft)? For example, if I am hoping to find malachite, am I better off running around on the surface looking for limestone rocks, or should I dig down and find a limestone layer deep underground and create a branch mine?
