      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. If you watch any anime (besides your usual American animes), what are your favorite anime theme songs?
  2. EnviroMine - alternative to TFC?

Same thing here. I think the unique generation TerraFirmaCraft has is one of its strongest, if not the most strongest, points as a mod. With that kind of generation, it's much better than the Minecraft vanilla generation in more ways than one, in my opinion.
  3. EnviroMine - alternative to TFC?

I'd say that this could possibly be a competitor to TerraFirmaCraft, a major one, if you will. Although, the differences here are that TFC is all about believability, not realism, whereas this EnviroMine mod is probably going to try to emulate reality in a huge way. I've only skimmed through the thread, so while I can't really make a judgement of EnviroMine, I think I'll be sticking to TFC as my main total conversion mod. Perhaps I'll try out the mod in a later time.
  4. Ask the person below you

If by living animal, I'd say the... thresher shark. If byextinctanimal, I say the Dunkleosteus, . What is Dwarf Fortress?
  5. Ridiculous Suggestions

--- Possibly the best ridiculoussuggestion I've heard in this entire thread. I would like to add, though, that this metal be extremely rare, spawn in vents, and a few of them are hollow. Dig one of the hollow ones and... well, let's just say they're hidden fun stuff, ;D. Oh, and I suggest alchemy, especially flame alchemy.
  6. Name Me!

---We were bored. And, like Treyflix said, the Off Topic section is the only place where can we freely derail nowadays, ever since (Correction) Crysyn began a crackdown on derails. You should have seen the vets doing the Holmesian Event; possibly the biggest derail in this entire forum, because it was a multi-thread derail rampage that almost gotten achartran banned. Also, a word of advice: DO. NOT. CAPITALIZE. THE. FIRST. LETTER. OF. HIS. NAME. Unless you have a death wish (seriously, you really don't want to do that, ).
  7. Reflections on suggestions

I'm in a similar, if not the same position as you Jed. I don't play TFC anymore (mostly because of computer limitations and dedicating more time to real life things, reading, writing, and roleplay), yet I still monitor the devs' progress on the mod. Most of the suggestions I made on this forum, though few and far between, was more about expanding on current vanilla mechanics and making them better, but they still had some semblance of an interest in expanding possibilities.
  8. Canoes

EDIT: Okay, I need to use a different computer next time because Google Chrome is so darn slow on this site, .
  9. Canoes

At the moment, such a thing is possible. There was a collaboration effort between two mod developers (Ships and Boats mod and PhysicsCraft mod) over at the Minecraft forums to combine their mods into one. Sadly, SirEntropy's life caught up with him/her and it never came into fruition, but there is a mod I recently discovered that happened to be its spiritual successor. I've taken a look into it and so far it's one of the most interesting mods I've seen (buoyancy physics, block/material properties, some semblance of sinking mechanics)... perhaps you and Bioxx can emulate this (although, the cloth physics is an entirely different thing, one that I don't know how it will function even).
  10. Hardcore Quest Mode in TFC. What do u think?

Hey Briareos, welcome to the forums (also known as The Madhouse, > ). Hardcore Quest Mode? I don't think I've ever heard of that; I've only heard of Agrarian Skies (Direwolf20 was doing that, last I heard), but I never seen it at all. Regardless, I've checked the link and, well, honestly? TFC is already difficult as it is. I don't see how this will immensely benefit TFC as a whole; maybe with multiplayer and challenges, but aside from possibly more exposure, in terms of gameplay and whatnot, it'll be the least affected. I'm sure that's not the point right now, however. Intergration-wise, I imagine it wouldn't be that difficult (unless adding more lives to Hardcore mode or similar is part of the Minecraft base code, which is something the developers want to avoid as much as possible). EDIT: For some reason, Google Chrome is extremely slow on this site, and Internet Explorer won't even allow me to log in, :L.
  11. Canoes

The way you described how sails work sounds like it would be too impractical for TFC. Besides, at the moment, you don't really even need a vessel to travel anywhere on ocean biomes if you're stocked up on plenty of food and water (and have an immense patience). Resources are also pretty abundant if you know where to look, anyway. That is not to say it might not be coded into the mod, however.
  12. Mushrooms in TFC

If we're going to have mushrooms in the game to act as a component for healing, I would suggest something along the lines of faster health regeneration, as TheWolf (I'm still calling you that, by the way, ) stated. For basic balancing, I would say that it would take a few mushrooms with the faster healing effect (something like two-three, sometimes even four) to achieve the desired affect.
  13. 1up

/me obliterates everything and starts anew.
  14. Ridiculous Suggestions

The ability to travel faster than light.
  15. I'm baaaack!

Oh, and Kimbblesrath, I forgot to tell you this, but I finally finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood a few weeks/months back!
  16. Multi-Crossover Roleplay Thread of Randomness

The arcana by which all is revealed... *Turns into gigantic figure of epic proportions, wielding two huge katana swords, sporting a suit of black steel armor, and has crimson-piercing eyes. Man has wished for death; it is not an uncommon occurrence. I shall grant Man death, if he so desires. *Begins to slaughter every human in sight.
  17. I'm baaaack!

Well, welcome back Treyflix. Man, I've been away from this forum for nearly a month, and the old crew is already starting to come back. Next I know, I'll be gone for another few months and Just_Another_Guy_ returns...
  18. TFC Build 79

With the barrels and rock salt in TFC, alongwith the new decay system,I think there might be a possibility we could use salt topickle meats and certain foods. As far as I know, it's a method that's doable in TFC's time range. Now, I'm not sure about how salt deposits exactly form, but I'm assuming that the player has to be near the coasts in order to mine out the salt?
  19. build 78 features.

Wow... the new 78 Build looks amazing! Ever since I have disappeared, this has left my mind for quite some time. But, now the mod has updated... Time to download it! (Soon as the Star Wars mod I'm downloading finishes up... :/.)
  20. What do you like about terrafirmacraft

TerraFirmaCraft is a modification that, to some, may be the one they had been searching for all of these years. For me, it is probably the greatest modification I have ever played, and because much of content in it is so believable and whatnot. I love how it's much harder to survive in the wilderness, and I really love some of its construction, metallurgy, agricultural, and mining aspects. Exploration is also a huge factor, which I do enjoy, as well. Overall, TFC is something that holds a special place in my heart, even though I no longer have the time to play Minecraft (which is pretty sad, considering that I probably won't be around by the time TFC is officially released).
  21. Anime?

Bumping up this thread, because I found two new animes I like: -Attack on Titan. -Blood+. However, I think Blood+ is my favorite over AoT, despite that newer anime's popularity. Blood+ is the most emotional anime I have ever seen since FMA:B.
  22. Multi-Crossover Roleplay Thread of Randomness

    *Watches carnage takes place. MWHA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
  23. Update Frequency Poll

I voted for every two to threemonths. I find that keeping up at least some kind of work schedule, even if it's limited to ten-fifteen minutes per time of day, or the entire day itself, is a big help in the long run. Especially if they are lazy, one can balance their work by dedicating a couple minutes of work at one point whilst goofing off at another. Balancing work time and play time is essential if one really wants to accomplish something big, and updating two to the three months gives the developers at least enough time to code the game and either play games, focus on their studies/job, and whatever they need to do around the house. I don't exactly agree with 'update whenever they feel like it' because it gives the developers the incentive to become a little more lazy, and that can be a bad thing when it comes to working on anything that involves time management, really.
  24. Siege Equipment

I see little practical use for cannons; from what Kazahied describedit in his own words, the cannon serves more as an expensive terror weapon than an actual siege weapon. To put it in an analogy, the suggested cannon for TFC would be like building those experimental, giant artillery cannons built by the Germans during the Second World War(?).
  25. @PaoloEmilio: I mean by the number of active registered members. Most of the veterans here have since come and go: Lumireaver (never met him/her, unfortunately), achartran (one of my friends, and I had some very 'fond' memories with him), Just_Another_Guy_ (one of the most fun users I've ever met [i copyright calling him by his full penname!]), TheWolf277 (another one of my friends), Kimbblesrath (he still goes here sometimes, but still. Also one of my closer friends), Srgnoodles (she still attends here too, but...), Killster550 (first user I've evermet and talked to on this site, if I remember correctly. Fondest ofmemories with him [especially theNameMe! Derail, that was fun]),Sting_Auer, Deathbytac0, ECC, Treyflix, HunterKain, Scooterdanny, Trancengopher, Jed1314, EternalUndeath, Crysyn (he was more of a moderator on this site, but still...), andseveral more. That's a lot of the veterans I haven't seen in a while, now.
