      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Dromedary Camel *FINAL*

The model is looking pretty good at this point! My only concern lies with the head. It feels a little off to me. Maybe a few pixels more in the z-axis would look better. Right now it seems as if the nose is coming out of the neck to me.
  2. Squirrel *FINAL*

I noticed that you actually CAN drag and drop boxes outside of childing. There is a very small margin where it is possible. This can not be shown accurately with a photo as a print-screen removes the mouse from the print-screen. This includes the + or - sign that is important here. If you hold onto a box and keep it where it is you can see a small white - in the area that I circled. This signifies that it will be a child if it is placed there. However, if you move your cursor (while still holding the box) to the area to the left of the blue circle but still in the dark grey the sign will change. It will now be a white + sign(signifies growing bigger than a child?). This will place the box you were just holding at the bottom of the box list.
  3. Weasel & Ermine *FINAL*

I have what is probably the smallest model we have so far. The Weasel is very short as they growup to be about 6cm tall in the wild. They are very longhowever and can grow up to be between 20-28 cm long. I did my best to try to be true to these proportions. This texture is of a standard brown North American weasel. 4. Weasel & Ermine *FINAL*

To continue the arctic animal quest, I created a winter version of the weasel or an ermine. These can use the same model in game. If not, I re-named the model as Ermine and it is attached below. I also added the pink nose to the weasel texture. MCMCErmine.MCModel MCMCWeasel.MCModel
  5. Dromedary Camel *FINAL*

Does the box that I circled in the attached picturerepresent anything? It feels like a left-over from the step-pyramid version.
  6. Dromedary Camel *FINAL*

When it comes to the hump, then I think that the slanted boxes look better than the "step pyramid"-esque style. The mix of the two styles makes it even more jarring.
  7. Llama by Therighthon *FINAL*

My curiosity about the shorn texture has been sated. The default version is really just super ugly. I guess I just got used to it after 4-5 years of playing Vanilla MineCraft. Your original shorn texture is much better then this one that is modeled off the sheep. We are probably better off re-modeling the vanilla sheep as Darmo suggested earlier.
  8. Llama by Therighthon *FINAL*

Go ahead and make a scraggly looking texture. It will be interesting to see what it looks like.
  9. Llama by Therighthon *FINAL*

I am loving all these textures for the Llama. They really make the animal feel so much more diverse. The usage of the transparent box to create a shaggy coat for the Llama adds a lot to the texture. We have a question to ask about the sheared texture though... If you look at a picture of a sheared sheep in Minecraft, the sheared variant is not a clean cut (Attached Below). The texture is really patchy. Do we want to change the sheep texture to have a clean cut in TFC2? Or do we want to add the patchiness to the Llama textures?
  10. Weasel & Ermine *FINAL*

Does anyone have any comment to add to this model or should it be considered completed?
  11. Giraffe *FINAL*

Alright, I believe this texture should be final. After messing around with the spots on the body I got them to fit the original style better. The tail is also improved so that it is thicker at the top and thins out at the bottom. No more two pixels out tufts in the tail. I also added some darker spots at the bottom of the leg boxes to simulate the hooves of a giraffe. A lighter texture on the bottom of the body box has also been added. A few overview photos are attached below. MCMCGiraffeFinished.MCModel
  12. Wolverine *FINAL*

I like the second version in the line from left to right the best. It still keeps the general idea of the jaw below the snout. The angle makes it seem more natural to me and fit better.
  13. Wolverine *FINAL*

One thing I wonder about on this model is the jaw. Is it intentional to have it solely under the head? Something about it seemed a little off to me. If there was no space between the jaw and the neck, the model might look a little better. See the picture below. My version that I sent here would need more work but it is a step in the right direction IMO. WolverineMCMCv2.MCModel
  14. Giraffe *FINAL*

The body does have some spot heavy areas on it on second thought. The original version that I had was a little spot light. It is attached below. Is that more like the art design we are going for? I can definitely add a white layer for the underbelly of the giraffe. The legs would be a no go however as mirroring the legs causes issues with the texture that I discussed with you earlier. I will look into the tail and hoof parts as well in a future update. I understand what you are saying about the boxes at the end by the way.
  15. Giraffe *FINAL*

I have been busy recently butI have made a few changes to the model. These included changing the names of the right rear leg parts. (They were originally still labelled as left legs) I also moved the tail parts up by 2 pixels so that the tail tuftscomeout of the tail more naturally. The scaling rods have also been deleted. I have finished the texture for the giraffe model as well.Darmo, you voiced a concern about the base texture having a slight green hue. I find that it is not very noticeable once all the spots have been added to the model. I also added a slight yellow hue to the texture to add that warmer feeling. Let me know if it is too much or too little yellow. It is easy enough to modify. MCMCGiraffeFinished.MCModel
  16. MCModelCreator(MCMC)

I few changes I would like on my side: When I first downloaded the program it gave me an option of what size window I wanted for the program. I have not had this box pop up since. Is there some way to change this setting so that I can make MCMC run at a different resolution? I would like an option that could deselect all the boxes so that you could view the entire model without having one of the boxes tinged red as the program is currently selecting that. Maybe clicking this option would switch to an isometric view of the whole model? I would like the dark grey areas of the screen to be dead-zones when clicking on the model. Currently, you can select parts through the dark grey area. This grows annoying when trying to select a number to change. See the photo below. If I were to click the dark grey box to change the offset along the z axis, then it would select the box that the red arrow points to.
  17. It's possible to download MCMC?

You are one step away from having the download right. What you currently have is a private download that only goes to the right page when on your account. What you need to do is hit the blue share button on the top right of the page. See the photo below. I circled the button you need to press to get the shareable link. Then you would need to copy the link that it gives you like in this photo. The next step would be to use hyperlinks to reduce the size of these links. Sometimes URLs can getlengthy and clog up space in a post. To circumvent this then just use the hyperlink button on the forums. That is the chain link icon if you do not know. Highlight the text that you would want to make the hyperlink on. Then click hyperlink and it will bring up a box. Paste your shareable Dropbox link in there and it will be ready to go. See below for an example. Hyperlink
  18. Giraffe *FINAL*

Here is a little update on the Giraffe: I am pretty happy with the head at this point. The size of the boxes seems fine and everything fits into the boxes. (Things like the eyes/ears/mouth) Looking back at your comment Darmo, I saw that you requested darker nostrils and ears. Those are included now. These seem dark enough to me but do they work for you as well? I have now started texturing the neck of the Giraffe. Working my way down to the body I added the distinct spots that giraffes have. These can be seen in the picture below. My next post here will probably be the completed version unless a complication comes up.
  19. It's possible to download MCMC?

Send your modelsthrough a PM to either Darmo or me if you wish to help. You may need to use an external download site like dropbox to send your model however. As I do not believe that you can send files through PM.
  20. It's possible to download MCMC?

MCMC is the modeling program that Darmo, Phineas, and I use to make the animals you may have seen in the development forum. That program may be found in the downloads section of the forums. Look at this picture here.
  21. Gorilla

If you have an idea for an improved texture for the gorilla then go ahead.
  22. MCModelCreator(MCMC)

Would this be a good place to request new features for MCMC or should that go through PM?
  23. Rat Model and Texture *FINAL*

When I went back to the texture to look into making alternate skins I noticed that the version I sent in was a little sloppy. There were a few boxes still on the texture-map that were textured for parts that were phased out earlier. I also cleaned up the edges of the boxes for a cleaner look. Switching to this version will not have any visual change on the model in game. This version simply changes the texture-map to look cleaner.
  24. Mobs for TFC2

Perhaps this photo helps you see the eye. The eye is 1 pixel that is darker than the rest. It is hard to see since the only texture I have made for it is a black version. I will be making other variations (grey, brown, white) soontm after I finish some other current projects
  25. Racoon *FINAL*

Apologies about the photo Darmo. The photo that I linked was an older version that I scrapped as being too thin. I forgot that the picture I put in the post and describedwas an old print-screen.The download is correct however. While I still did some slimming of the model it is not as severe as that photo above. I attached a comparison between your V1 model and my actual V2 model below. The head alone could still use some scaling on Bioxx's side of the equation but otherwise the model is still fairly close to your original.
