      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. That's awesome to hear. I'll be sure to download the first release, as soon as you push it out, but take your time, as you Need it. :) Waited over 2 years for this, a few days more aren't bad anymore.

  2. How about a hidden mechanic, where each alloy may be made with iteself for like 0-20%? So if you'd accidentially added some of its own alloy to it, it would be possible to still use all the metal you got liquid?

    you'd still have to meet the other ammounts, but it wouldn't matter if you got some percents of itself in the crucible.

  3. Well... i don't really see the problem. There may be a lot of clay, but you need at least 4 logs and 4 straw to fire 1 clay item (if you're making 4 at a time that is). Further: Clay molds, Cast molds (always) and jugs can break on usage. So you will need to refire stuff constantly. To loose each ingot mold after getting an ingot out would be very extreme, since you'd use more wood on firing clay than on making charcoal.

  4. They are quite rare, yes. But if you find one and can get saplings from it, you can then multiply them and get tons of food. Though its only once a year time to harvest. (some leaves may regrow through harvesting season though.

  5.

    Tetrahedrite is WAY too common. Mining a few mineshafts, I've found over 5x as many tetrahedrite veins as any other ore, all very large.

    It really depends massivly on where you are. I for example am swimming in Bismuth, Sphal and Cassiterite but got barely enough copper to make a bloomery. That is the problem of Singleplayer with TFC, which i'm fine with, even though i don't play SMP often.

  6. Oh i wouldn't completly exclude that. The melting of copper and bronze got a LOT LOT LOT easier... i can now melt up to 64 ingots with 16 logs (4 filled bowls), get them in 4 handy containers, where it stays warm forever and can pour it whenever i need it. Just saying. It just doesent make sense the way the system is now. i can cast bronze tools from the beginning but i can't weld 2 ingots together before making a copper anvil?

  7. With the recent changes in Metallurgy we don't need a copper anvil anymore to make bronze tools. It is quite easy to make bronze first before even having molten one copper ingot. (At least i have more problems finding copper than cassiterite) Though if i want to proceed to the bloomery, i do have to make a copper anvil first, then a bronze anvil to make 8 bronze sheets for the bloomery. Which doesen't make much sense, to have an anvil more just to make some sheets.

    So my suggestion would be to either make it possible to work T2 metals on a copper anvil or to make bronze weldable but not workable on a T0 anvil. Either way would remove the need to make two anvil solely to make T2 sheets.

  8. Ok, i didn't look for "Rennofen", but "Gediegen" is not right, simply by grammar...^^ "Gediegenes" would be right, but i said no GERMAN (from Germany) would say this (in this combination) ^^

    cause it sounds wierd (even if its right ^^) i switched to "Nuggets" (sounds better and its shorter :-) aaaaand it would also pass to the other "Small" ores)

    it isn't the first time i translate something (MC Mods and Manga either), so i know that nothing should be translated directly... (cause the most things sounds REAL wierd, annoying and disapointing)

  9. 77.0-6 Translation ErrorsName: German Translation ErrorsCategory: Annoying and solving

    Description:

    item.Ore.NativeCopper=Gediegen Kupferitem.Ore.NativeGold=Gediegen Golditem.Ore.NativePlatinum=Gediegen Platinitem.Ore.NativeSilver=Gediegen Silber

    tile.Ore.NativeCopper=Gediegen Kupfertile.Ore.NativeGold=Gediegen Goldtile.Ore.NativePlatinum=Gediegen Platintile.Ore.NativeSilver=Gediegen Silber

    the translations are correct but, it isnt wisely translated, sry^^

    not even one german would use these words in this way :-)

    ("Gediegen" is equal to "natural", "chill", "enjoy" etc... xD)

    item.SterlingSilverUnshaped=Ungeformter Sterlingsilber

    -r and it's right^^

    item.BismuthIngot=Bronzebarren

    item.BismuthSheet=Bronzeplatte

    item.BismuthDoubleSheet=Doppelte Bronzeplatte

    its Bismuth... not Bronze...

    tile.Bloomery=Rennofen

    try "Brennofen" and it would be fine... :-) "Renn" is comes from RUN "Brenn" from BURN... sounds right in my mind^^

    tile.sapling.WhiteCedar=Weißes Zypressen-Setzlingtile.sapling.WhiteElm=Weißes Ulmen-Setzling

    not the right grammar use... "Weißer" is, in this way, right

    gui.DamageType.Error=Error: Falshe Schadensart

    "Fehler: Falsche Schadensart" would be the complete translation including the correction...^^

    gui.MeltedMetal.Inst0=to pour into a tool mold.

    gui.Clay.Inst0=with 5 in a stack to shape.gui.LooseRock.Inst0=with 2 in a stack to knap.

    not translated...

    gui.ClearSlot=Ein ausgangs Slot leeren

    "Einen Ausgangs-Slot leeren"...

    I must correct you on some points, where your correction is quite wrong.  The word "Gediegen" is the perfect translation and i would absolutly use this word, since it is the only correct word to describe that form of an "ore". ( see this page for a clearer explanation and usage of this word in german: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gediegen ) The translation are correct, though it may seem wierd because the word was not declinated, but it doesen't need to be.

    second i'd like to mention that the term "Rennofen" is indeed the correct name for such a device. Even if the word seems to come from running, this is the name this oven has. ( See this wiki page for a nice explanation : http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rennofen  you will see, that if you hit the english version of this article you will get to the bloomery )

    I did not go through the whole set of names, just the changes you mentioned. The rest sounds good to me.
