      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    Hey guys I'm pretty new to playing TFC so I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice? I've made a pickaxe and prospectors pick etc. and I'm looking for copper but on my current world, I haven't found a single piece whilst picking up the rocks on the surface? Should I keep wandering around until I find some or just make a mine near my home and start to mine and look for stuff as I go? Maybe we got super lucky, but on the server that me and my bf have, we found copper on the surface right near our house and without even using the prospectors pick managed to find a huge vein of copper.. not having this kind of luck on my single player world tho So what do you guys usually do? Search for copper on the surface first or just wing it and start a mine and search using the prospectors pick? How far down do you start? Thanks for the help in advance and sorry if my questions seem 'nooby' xx
