      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Bibliocraft Addon

-- Spanish is my mother tongue, I can do the spanish translation, not only for this, but for TFC itself and every addon.
  2. How to solve the lose of crops in winter.

    -- Maybe use torches/firepits/forges?
  3. Salt from Saltwater

What about filling a bowl/vessel of salt, then place it by the sun, wait one day or two, and it gives one small clump of salt that, if 4 combined gives the normal lump of salt we know?
  4. Bronze bloomeries? Iron furnaces? That ain't be believable

Anyways, I personally don't care about the tiers and ages and etc... The only reason our ancestors didn't leave from stone to copper age in an instant is because they didn't know copper was useful for tools. Same with the people of the bronze age. They didn't know iron, or it was too hard to work that they preferred bronze. But not necesarry, for example, if some pioneers settle in the Great Plains, will have to go all way to the bronze age. (If I can explain myself). They went directly to the iron working. So what about, bronze and copper tools could be made, for example, if you run out of iron for some reason, or you are in a hurry. So yes, make bloomeries of 8 brick blocks (Considering you must still be in the copper age to get them for mining the stone and sculpting it with a chisel). And make blast furnaces with firebricks and a crucible. (Even if you can still mine kaolinite and graphite with copper, the amount of mining it will require will make you get bronze tools in the middle, so there it goes, the two damned ages before steel age). The reasons this works: -You need copper tools at least to get the stone for the brickblocks of the bloomery -If, when mining for the kaolinite and graphite you find cassiterite, bismuthinite, or sphalerite, you can make bronze tools, as common sense says bronze tools work better than copper ones. (And believe me, on my way to find kaolinite and graphite I have found atiborrant amounts of tin and zinc. -Getting bronze for new other bloomeries is very annoying. -The ages happened because people knew only to work certain metals So, please, start changing the recipes of the bloomery and the blast furnace
  5. Salt from Saltwater

-- Kitty, distillation is out of the timeframe of the stone age... But not of the iron age. Also, to make salt you only need a jar with saltwater, let it to dry in the sun and ready. It isn't that difficult.

  8. Game freezes

No, it just freezes, no "not responding" screen
  9. When will Build 78 be released?

I'm not demanding the exact day of the release. I only want an estimation, as I need it in order to know when I can start working on my maps. I can't wait, and no, I wont make a map in build 77 to have to remake it for build 78. So I'd be thankful if someone gives me an estimation.
  10. Bad news TFC comunnity: In our beta adventure I have found some bugs. Here they are: Suggested Name: Invisible leaves Suggested Category: Severe Description: Tree leaves are rendered invisible. This happens for loggable trees and fruit trees alike. I miss harvesting apples without doing any effort . A trio of images regarding this bug: http://i.imgur.com/uHUqjsA.png http://i.imgur.com/JdGfThs.png http://i.imgur.com/RbonIbp.png Next bug, golden looking ingots: My ingots are rendered in a strange way, I think this is due to other mods I use but I still believe it would be a TFC bug: Suggested Name: Golden (not GOLD) ingots Suggested Category; Minor Description: My ingots are rendered in different colors than the ones that correspond to them. They are a big more golden than they should. An image to explain it better; http://i.imgur.com/eE5PcK3.png From corner to hand: Copper, Bronze, Wrought Iron (Copper and bronze doesn't seem different. Iron does) The last bug doesn't need an image to be explaned: Suggested Name: Casting Issue Suggested Category: Annoying Description: I can naturally melt my copper/bronze and catch the molten metal with a ceramic mold from the ceramic vessel. However, when it turns into unshaped metal, I can't finish to fill it up if I pull it off accidentally. This means that an unshaped non-full mold can't be finished to be filled from a ceramic vessel. I suppose this is a secondary effect to the tweak that disables the ability to store ingots in vessels. Same for when I get metal units that aren't multiples of 100 in the vessel (1350 units, 450, etc...) and one of my unshaped ingots end at half fill. Wish you luck solving these ones out!
  11. Cats, Rabbits and other Pets

I came up with an idea peps! First, apart of only the dog, I suggest other kinds of pets. Cats My RL favorite pet, the cat is originary from Egypt, so I suggest in the mod it could be found in hot deserts/plains. They begin at bigger, and neutral and once tamed with fish they are passive. With each generation they go as small as the domesticated cats we know today. Because it's my favorite animal, if you kill one then an NPC with my skin and name will spawn and kill the responsible player. (Joke). If dead the cat will only drop bones. To make cats tameable in the stone age make an alternative recipe for the fishing rod. (Will discuss that in another thread). Rabbits Always passive, rabbits can be found in plains living in holes in the ground, known as their burrows. To domesticate a rabbit, feed them either cabbage, potato, onion or carrot. Almost any hard vegetable. Rabbits should run away from the player unless it is sneaking. If a rabbit is killed it should drop a single rabbit meat and some bones. Parrots Parrots are found in the jungle flying. To tame them, you must either lure them with grain or catch them in the air. If you catch it in the air it should attack you with it's peak, damaging you a bit. To keep a parrot you need a cage. As parrots can repeat human sounds you could "teach" them certain statements or words. If you are within five blocks of the parrot you have a chance of whatever you say he repeats you. In order to avoid spamming on a server employ a local chat just like in mytown. Parrots should always have this chat, that could have a range of 20 blocks for the parrot and the 5 blocks for the player. You could also place the parrot in your shoulder. If dead it drops a single parrot meat, bones and some feathers. Alternative dog breeds Due to the different types of dogs, maybe other wild animals of the family Canis like coyotes, foxes or wild chihuahuas could be. Tamed with meat, same drops as wolf. Also, wolves could come in different colors, like brown, black and golden. (Golden retrievers color for example, not a golden dog ) Hawks Hawks spawn almost everywhere in the sky, but jungles. To catch a hawk lure it with some grain until it becomes friendly. A good use for hawks could be sending them to hunt for you. If dead it drops feathers, bones and meat. Well that's all folks, hope you like!
  12. Compost/Organic Fertilizer

I know Dunk and Bioxx coded only mineral fertilizers because they do not want feces coded in TFC right? Well, poop is not the only ingredient in compost, sometimes fruit residues, eggshells, bone powder, and plant byproducts are useful in making compost, leave your ideas below.
  13. Compost/Organic Fertilizer

    Lol
  14. Compost/Organic Fertilizer

Rotten flesh could be a good ingredient, but we don't have to rely on spoiled food to use as compost, as I told you, eggshells, could be obtained by crafting a bowl with an egg, it should give you egg bowl (cook for normal egg, egg directly in the fire gives boiled egg). The byproduct of that crafting is eggshells which can be used in compost. In addition, greenbeans aren't eaten directly, but the grains are eaten, craft the greenbeans once for beans, byproduct is the coating of the beans, useful as compost, fruit residues are obtained by simply eating the fruits, residues represent what aren't eaten from the fruit. Like seeds (good replacement for fruit tree saplimgs ) and the shell of the fruit, good as fertilizer too. Meats and bone powder are also useful.
  15. [Solved]Bucket of Milk

It's lag maybe what it's affecting you
  16. More crops being hardy

Let me tell you that I do agree with you, for I confirmed recently planted wheat and barley can resist winter
  17. Cats, Rabbits and other Pets

Cats are useful in hunting annoying plagues, they kill rats, mice, and even roaches. If these peskies are ever coded, cats could be made to hunt them.
  18. Breeding Inaccuracies Messing With my OCD

Code leads in TFC, as it is easier to move animals instead of luring them
  19. Alternatives for magical mobs

Emm... I seem the monkeys are funny!
  20. Cats, Rabbits and other Pets

-- But I do! Add the cats! If he doesn't like them let the other players enjoy them
  21. Cats, Rabbits and other Pets

I just made the post for the cats... althrough all pets would be good, I want CATS
  22. Alternate Mob Spawning - Bonepiles

-- What about them monsters spawn with mob spawners underground, or can be summoned with diabolical rituals?
  23. Female Gender Option

-- What about if players can reproduce and have babies just like Minecraft Comes Alive?
  24. Ocean Of Sphalerite

-- When I first read that in the original post I almost cried while clapping: "Bravo! Bravo!"
  25. Cats, Rabbits and other Pets

-- Not a good idea, I've attracted adult cats to me
