      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. build 43 problem

I just got it running with magic launcher 0.9.8. I'll see if i can open a world offline without crashing. added the mods using the direct "add" option, in correct order; forge, api, build 43 client, resources, textures...Magic launcher does not seem to recognize resources or textures as valid mods, but that may be normal....We'll see...
  2. build 43 problem

running fine up to build 38. When I follow instructions for multimc this is what I get at launch: Instance started with command: C:Program FilesJavajre7binjava.exe -Xmx1024m -Xms512m -cp "C:UsersuserApplication Datamultimc" MultiMCLauncher "C:UsersuserApplication DatamultimcinstancesTFCRAFT.minecraft" "Offline" Offline Loading jars... ( using forge 3.3.8.152)
  3. Scythes, Am I using this tool correctly?

How about incorprorating better crop yeilds when harvested using a scythe? Phase it out altogether as a tool for collecting saplings...
  4. Remnants of the past

I love the sense of mystery and discovery imbued in discovering ancient ruins and artifacts nice ideas...
  5. More Realistic Campfire/Firepit

Pardon me...I thought we were brainstorming here
  6. Bsb23's Enchantment Document

I like it...Perhaps you get some further cues by researching the history of alchemy. It may help in meshing with the evolving metallurgy system....
  7. Meteoric Iron?

Liking the directions this is going. I think Bioxx has stumbled into exponential complexity and scope with this thing, but it proves how beautiful the Minecraft game engine can be
  8. Meteoric Iron?

    Interesting idea...
  9. More Realistic Campfire/Firepit

Perhaps one could construct a "spit" which would be added "above" the firepit similarly to placing a bellows? Multiple pieces of food could be added to the spit?
  10. Meteoric Iron?

There is a long history involving meteoric iron in the smithing process, Arthurian legend etc... I thought it might be interesting to include meteoric iron as a rare surface occuring resource picked up in the same way as a piece of flint. It provides a shortcut to small quantities of pre-forged iron for the player lucky enough to encounter it in the same way it was useful to pre-medieval smiths. Or possibly Telluric iron deposits: http://en.wikipedia....i/Telluric_iron http://science.howst...s.com/iron2.htm I believe the supposed mythic properties of meteoric iron had much to do with it's high nickle content....At any rate, it would definately rate as invaluable if found, even in small quantities...And as I mentioned the mythology surrounding meteoric iron and enchanted swords peaks my interest...
  11. Meteoric Iron?

How about meteoric iron? with possible extrapolation into item enchantment?
  12. New Building System Thoughts and Ideas

I spent some time working with cobble houses and generally ended up using two or three vertical support beams and a single horzontal support beam at each end of the house. It prevents my cobble windows from caving in but is aesthetically unpleasing. I had pondered the ability to construct things like: roof trusses, joists, window and door frames etc... I ended up using wooden slabs for the roof but given the fact that they key to the bottom block edge I have half block gaps running the length of the roof. I pondered possibly thatch or fired clay tile roof sections. It would be pushing the game engine and graphic sets a little to have blocks that visually and in regard to physics exist on a diagonal... I'm all for expanded building materials though... My current houses look like they sport a gallows at both ends!
  13. Is these things in seeds common!?

I get these Manhatten skylines in just about every seed i use, usually in border biomes. Very dangerous and practically useless given the gravity rules, sometimes just attempting a climb can cause a massive collapse of the entire structure. They cause huge lag spikes on my machine (triple core AMD, 2gig ram, geforce gt 240 with 1gig). They are interesting to look at though ...
