      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  2. [Solved] Crash on building terrain

Finally got it to work had nothing to do with TFC was an issue with Java settings. If anyone else has this issue i'll post the fix i used below. Fix 1. When getting a memory Error go to the profile options in the MC launcher. Check the JVM box and enter -Xms#G -Xmx#G where # is the value of Gb of ram you want allocated. Xms is the minimum Xmx the maximum. They can be equal but Xms has to be equal to or less thean Xmx. The min should be at least 1G and the max 3/4 of your systems total ram.Error: Cannot create the java virtual machine Fatal error program is closing. if you get something like this pop up and MC closes uninstall Java and go to Java.com and reinstall it make sure you install the correct version for your OS (32-bit or 64-bit)Error: MC launcher flickers when you press play and nothing happens. Go to the development console and look near the bottom for something about incompatability with minimun and maximum heap size.Fix: after maxing sure your JVM values are valid go to start>control panel>System and security>System> advanced system settings on the left>on the advanced tab select environment variables. Under system variables you may see _Java_options with an -Xmx value next to it. For me it was default set to 512Mb so that was Java's maximun regardless of what i set in MC. You can select the _Java_options and edit to replace the Xmx value with 3/4 of your total RAM. If you have no _Java_options you can click new under system variables and add it.This worked for me if you have issues still let me know. Thanks to Puxapuak for the assistance
  3. [Solved] Crash on building terrain

I uninstalled/reinstalled Java and when trying to run the JVM the launcher flickers and gives me the following error in the console. Log [13:53:12 INFO]: Client> Error occurred during initialization of VM[13:53:12 INFO]: Client> Incompatible minimum and maximum heap sizes specified[13:53:12 INFO]: Client> Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx512M[13:53:12 ERROR]: Game ended with bad state (exit code 1) Better than the cannot create the JVM error i was getting but still won't let me allocate more ram.
