      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    From what I can tell from the public repository TFC2 (https://github.com/Deadrik/TFC2), it seems as if the terrain generator will get a large update to create mostly islands/continents in a more realistic way.   6. Awesome, your generated maps look really good :-) Better map generation is always great. But you can also make procedural map generators that look very realistic:http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~amitp/game-programming/polygon-map-generation/ Interestingy, the other day I stumbled upon of of the TFC developers github profile and he has forked the repository for above map generator - so perhaps there's other guys working on a better map generator you could join forces with.

    Aquaducts would be awesome, therefore remove the ability to move water source blocks?
  8. Freezing water in unloaded chinks in winter

    Replacing Water with Ice and placing/removing snow when chunks are loaded shouldn't cause a big lag i think. You would need 16x16=256 calls to world.getPrecipitationHeight() + some ifs + world.setBlock()

    How about replacing the Hardy column with a "Min. Temperature" column (for hardy crops 2 lines)? Also Bioxx mentioned in chat that Jute dies below 10 degrees...which is correct?

    I also thought about drying fruits. Reduce 90% of its weight, increase thrirst, but therefore much slower decay.
  11. Visualize Firepit contents, placeable stones

    Thanks for the info. Actually it doesn't even have to be 3d models, it could be just 3 flat sticks like the ones tomatoes grow on. The main goal would be just to see without gui whats inside the fire pit.
  12. I'd love to see visually what's inside the firepit, without opening the gui. How about 2 sticks standing vertically and above those 1 horizontal stick, like in this picture:http://regesquattuor.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/dsc_0507.jpg Then in the middle of the horizontal stick is the item to be backed, and once backed the item moves to the left or right corner of the stick. This could in fact go so far and let the player place and remove items from the firepit without the use of any gui. The temperatureindication could be made by the color of the fire. And one other small thing, I'd really like to place rocks and ore nuggets back on surfaces as ways of decorating. Perhaps via shift + right click?

    Hunger could stay the same but when a player first enters a world he could start with a bit of food in his inventory.

    The slowness and difficulty of things are what make this mod so awesome, I hope the mod creators don't ever change that.

    I also find the current system of food taste just fine. Things don't have to be made easier all the time like in original minecraft ^^
  16. Flowerpots and Lawns/Wild Grass

    The tall grass growing back seems a bit unbalanced though. It regrows to a significantly smaller density as it was when the chunk was generated, since it mostly dies away again in winter.

  18. Can't stack meals

    Similary to crafter15, I personally started to just carry around a vessel with 4 160oz foods of each category, meals are just too quickly gone to be of use, I find. Meals should be 40oz or 60oz, don't you think?
  19. Tiny Feature: Chisel Sound

    I'm missing the soothing sounds of chiseling on a rock in this mod How about something like this when you use chisel on a rock: (this sound is royalty free!) Perhaps in some future version, chiseling should also not happen instantly. Some animation would be really cool, but complicated I guess.
  20. I find an active forge should smoke slightly (and could even follow the sky-access path?) and a active bloomery should smoke significantly, and that smoke should dissipates only slowly. It would add a lot of ambient to my smithing corner :-)

  22. Some minor bugreports

    First of all I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the creators of this mod. This has been so far the most fantastic addition to Minecraft I have seen so far, please keep going <3 I've checked the official bug list and the first few pages in this board, I hope non are duplications. I am using version TFC 0.78.14 - Dogs seem to be shake their fur every 2-3 seconds lot when it snows (and shakes out water). Don't know if it's a bug with minecraft or terrafirmacraft.http://i.imgur.com/zVpvjNY.png - I had a strange bug when preparing meals, similar to the one reported about ghost items remaining. In my case however it seemed almost like a red pepper managed to get negative weight or so, because I could infinitely prepare meals with it. Also seemd to be like only server side or something as it went invisible all the time (but I could drop it on the floor and pick it up). The tooltip also showed no weight:http://i.imgur.com/Y1QXS86.png - Don't know if its on purpose or not, but you don't really need a unshapped ingot mold for castable tools. I could also pour metal directly into the the tool-appropriate clay mold. - And finally, the only bug so far that was rather annoying is glitchy fence gates. I've been playing with my wife via 'Open to LAN' and there the open/closed state don't seem to be synced correctly because there are times when the gate is shown as open on my screen and I can't pass through (keep getting teleported back -> server side it still seems closed) therefor my wife can pass through, and vice versa. There was no redstone attached to the fence gates. - One more minor bug, also via 'Open to LAN'-Network-play: Holding food in hands shows in the food bar with a half-transparent green how much it will feed me. But when playing via 'open to lan' that particular display sometimes appears on my wifes food bar, instead of mine. Anyhow thanks again for this amazing mod, we've been playing a lot lately and we're totally loving it!
