      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

This question is here because many bugs are caused by mistakes in config files. If you are unable to delete your edited config files, please provide a list of the config options you have changed. (Yes/No): If you answered no to the above question, uninstall Optifine/Cauldron and try to reproduce the bug. Both Optifine and Cauldron edit the base classes of forge that TFC uses. Because of this, we cannot officially support any issues that happen only when these mods are installed. In the majority of cases, TFC is not causing the bug; Optifine/Cauldron is and TFC can do nothing to fix it. All bug reports should have an answer of "Yes" to this question. If you refuse to uninstall Optifine/Cauldron, and cannot reproduce the bug when the mods are not installed, do not bother making a bug report, as it will be locked and ignored. Pastebin.com link of the Crash Report: Description: Before I installed FastCraft, the screen would freeze every 5 seconds and my fps would drop from 200+ to 0 for a split second. After I installed FastCraft, the game ran smoothly for a day or two. Now the stuttering/screen freezing is back but every ~20 seconds but my fps doesn't drop to 0, it just drops by like 50. I have no clue what would cause it but if I were to guess: maybe it has to do with chunk generation(?), I also adjusted my JVM Arguments to: -Xmx2G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn1G -Xms1G -XX:NewSize=512M -XX:SurvivorRatio=2 -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:ParallelGCThreads=4 -d64 -XX:+CMSIncrementalPacing -XX:+AggressiveOpts Besides those two, I have no idea what would cause it. Any suggestion would be gladly appreciated. I just want to be able to enjoy TFC without the stuttering/fps drops/screen freezing. Thank you!
  3. Cubic chunks

Some time ago (a lot of time ago) the cubic chunks topic popped up in the IRC if I remember correctly, and after some discussion, the outcome was that it would be really helpful with a mod such as TFC. Today I just revisited the page of cubic chunks and was wondering...does TFC2 still use the old chunk system or is it in the plans to change direction and head for something like cubic chunks? That would help I think, especially due to the terrain height and the laggy leaves. Also, when you break a block, minecraft doesn't have to re-render the entire chunk. EDIT: Also, that could increase vertical height, but that's a secondary aspect, at least for me, I never built anything that touched the sky in TFC.

  7. [Solved] Help with heavy lag?

Well I have been experiencing heavy lag in both single- and multiplayer even with my Geforce 760, do I need anything else like Ram to make it stop or what do you suggest?
  8. So i was wondering, has anyone made or found a "simple" texture pack for TFC? Many people (myself included) don't have very good PC's, which can make playing a lot less fun. I agree that such a texture pack would take away some of the realism, such asdifferentkinds of wood being basically the same color. If youdon'tknow what the hell kinda texture pack I'm talking about, here's an example of one in vanilla minecraft:http://goo.gl/49gKwo Cheers!
  9. Optimization Help

I recently installed TerraFirmaCraft after learning of the changes in Beta 77 and decided to try it out. I was greeted with an FPS of approximately 0. My computer is not a gaming computer, as it is a stock Inspiron 1525 from the age of yore. I know I should upgrade it, but that is simply not possible for me. I have installed Optifine (after some struggle), played with memory allocations, and to no avail. Is there anything else I can do? I would have concluded that I simply could not play this mod, but I have played modpacks with 135 mods installed, and that still runs admirably well. I assume it's a factor of the many, many changes to vanilla TFC provides. I really do want to play this mod, and I could back in the days of Beta 40-ish. But, as the beta numbers grew higher, the FPS seemed to get lower. Is there anything I'm missing that could help?

  11. Flashing Grass Texture, Ores/Sphalerite

Hey guys, So I just installed the latest build ( i believe the latest build) of TFC for the first time. So far Im liking the extreme difficulty, but I am having problems with two things. The main issue is that the better grass feature causes my grass to sort of flicker between dirt and grass, causing extremeley bad lag spikes (down to about 5 fps from about 25ish) and im getting that lag even running on the lowest possible settings. The other problem is that I've seen videos where guys find ore every other other hit on rocks on the ground and i barely have them every 20 rocks. All Help appreciated. The picture of the single block is actually everywhere all over the grass.
  12. How do you reduce lagz?

I've installed Optifine, disabled/minimalized everything, turned off snooper, put on peaceful, tiny render, everything. I'm still getting from 0.25 - 3 fps per second with TFC. Is there an easy way to fix this?
  13. Unbearable Lag on High Power Computer

Hello everyone. I have recently downloaded TerraFirmaCraft to my computer, because I have been watching Spumwack's let's play of the mod, and I became interested. I downloaded and installed the mod following Spumwack's tutorial video, and I log onto the mod. I get unbearable lag, and an average of 7-10 FPS, on tiny render distance, with the latest version of Optifine installed. This is a shock, because I average about 120-130 FPS on far render distance in vanilla Minecraft, even in SMP. How can I run vanilla Minecraft with high graphics on far and get over a hundred FPS, then turn almost everything off and switch to tiny in TFC, and get 7 FPS? I did not notice any change in the performance before or after Optifine. In the mean time, I will try to re-install the mod. Below are my mod specs. MOD: *Minecraft version 1.4.2 *TerraFirmaCraft Universal Core Build 66 *Minecraft Forge Universal 6.0.1.341 *Player API universal 1.1 *Optifine 1.4.2 HD U A7 Notes: I have played Tekkit a lot in the past, and even with that massive mod-pack , I still get 90 FPS on far render distance.
  14. hello, how would i get better fps without using optifine with only terrafirmacraft and Rei's minimap installed? my computer specs are as followed. Processpor: Intel® Pentium® CPU p611 @ 2.00 Ghz 2.00 Ghz Installed RAM: 4.00CG (3.80 GB usable) System type: 64 - bit Operating System. i Have a custom launcher with changeable Ram allocation and have plenty of computer knowledge to do whatever it takes to get better fps, currently with only 400 Ram allocated i get 6 to 9 fps on the lowest possible settings, with 1G ram allocated i usually have 15 to 20 FPS but with lag spikes, should i allocate more ram or is their anything i can use with Terrafirmacraft to get better fps that is compatible? P.S. i can allocate up to 2.5 GB of ram is thats what i need to do, plus i have the latest GameBooster Pro by iorbit. thank you.
  15. Game breaking lag at certain times

Hello everyone, this is my first post here! So I recently downloaded TFC. I also have optifine installed. My computer is not the gratest but I can get about 20-30 FPS with optifine on tiny+16. It does the job though and I don't mind overly much. Oncce I created my first world and got all te settings proper I was getting my normal 20-30 FPS but when I tried to harvest some sticks and rocks, BAM, down to 1. It seems that whenever I left click in any way, wether I fight, use tools, use a fire, or manage my inventory my FPS shoots down, and then comes back up like nothing happened. This makes it very difficult to play the game! while it has gotten a little better, It's not gone away in the 20 minutes I have played. Another, less anoying but still problematic issue is that the world is generating really slow (despite having the multi-core version of optifine). I'm used to slow, but this is so slow that I can actually walk onto the invisible chunk BEFORE it loads. This is not as eeirly consistent as the other problem and does not seem to be present at all times, but is still frequent. So please, if you have ANY idea as to what could be causing these problems or how to fix them, help me out! If you need anymore information to determine the issue, just ask. ~Treyflix
