      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Vintage Story

    Hi guys, I'm here to share a game that i found some months ago. The name is Vintage Story! Game link: https://www.vintagestory.at/ Here is some game features that i think is important to mention: Very active community. Good dev's that hear you ideas (they talk whit you in the Discord and they are very nice) x32 textures for everything (much more detailed world) The game development progress very quick. (in my opinion ) YOU can help the dev's and modders. Highsupport for mods and easy scripting. (integrated whit the game) The game runs very well in low end computers. (I have a GTX 1060 and my game runs like Barry Allen ) A model creator that you can use to make your custom shapes. There is much more positive things that i could tell here, but i want to be direct. i DON'T want to make any conflict whit this post, ijust want to share the gameand maybe connect the two communities! (I have edited this post because i thought i was a little rude in first time and i wanted to add more details to it)
  2. Terraria

    I got Terraria when it first came out. Several friends and I played the hell out of that game and I loved every minute of it. After a long break we have started playing again, and a massive update is in the works. The update is rumored to release near the end of May. I'm curious if anyone else still plays and enjoys Terraria. It couldn't hurt to have more people to play with, especially when it comes time for Hardmode bosses. It's also just fun to talk about.
  3. Galaxy Quest 2 [WIP] Current version: 1.0.4 Galaxy Quest 2 is my second game, and my first you could say big project. I plan on finishing this game and making it fully playable (and enjoyable, if possible). The game is a 2D topdown space shooter, where you take control of a spaceship on his quest (no actual quests, just shoot shoot shoot) to rid the galaxy of evil comets and mean aliens! So far I've got the titlescreen menu, volume and difficulty control (actual difficulty not yet implemented), 3D-looking background, a scrollable map and a spaceship along with movement and 360° rotation using the mouse. So this is still a very early version of the game. I plan on releasing the source code for aspiring programmers to learn from, and I'll be sure to comment the code out and make it as OOP and understandable as possible. However, the source itself won't be available for download until the game is finished. Here are some videos to show what I've got so far: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaZEVxPC5IE http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FFLU7gQjXs http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW6A4UqQ4RY If you like this and would like to follow the development of the game, consider subscribing to my YouTube channel as I'll be pushing out updates frequently (I'll try to), so you can see the progress. To-do list: - Add bullets/lazors to the game, which the player and enemy spaceships can shoot (with fancy sound effects included) - Add actual enemies with (sort of) smart AI (comets will still be stupid) - Make enemies earn you money, which you can spend at the shop for upgrades to your ship (tri-laser superbeam cannon of death anyone?) - Boss battles! - Scaled difficulty - Space squids (???) I'm also open for some good suggestions. Changelog: 1.0.4 - A lot of code cleanup and bugfixes (a day worth of work) - Volume (music and SFX) and difficulty control through the options menu - Multisampling (not configurable yet) 1.0.3 - Credits screen in the titlescreen menu - New sounds - A map around which you can move (3000x3000p) - Player is now centered on the screen, while the background moves - The background consists of 2 layers which move at different speeds, giving a 3D feel - Started work on a minimalistic HUD - Some code cleanup - Improvements to the way menu buttons work 1.0.2 - Player (in the future enemy as well) rotation using trigonometry based on mouse position - Ingame menu (accessed by pressing the escape key, exited the same way) 1.0.1 - First release!
  4. C++ Space Shooter Game

    This is the first game I actually finished, it's made in C++ and the Allegro 5 library. It's a small and simple 2D space shooter, basically just for practice. I'm putting it here for any aspiring programmers to look at the code and learn from it if they want. The source code download link will be in the description of the video.
  5. Like the title saiz if you could design ANY game, what would it be? Would be a fast action, first person shooter,,maybe a MMORPG? Or even a horror game? It could be even a sandbox game like minecraft or GTA... You can make anything in this post so let the imagination go WILD!! Ok, i will start off: I want my game to be a first person shooter with slight RP going on in the background, with a post apocalyptic theme. This game wont be like CoD or BattleField. When the person first joins my game he/she will be asked to pick one out of three races. The races will depend on what your weapons/vechicals/characters/bases and so on will look like, it will also depend on were your bases will be. Post your video game ideas!
  6. Game Crash when in the Options Menu

    I downloaded the mod about an hour ago, and have had problems with the game: everytime I go into the options menu, the game crashes, and a black screen shows up. This is mainly a problem because I have an azerty keyboard, and I haven't been able to change the keys in order to play comfortably. I followed the instructions to install the mod apart from one thing: First I used the MCPatcher, then I uploaded ModLoader. After that I added MinecraftForge 3.1.2.96, and lastly the mod itself (as a last I added the TFC textures on the main download page). Can anyone tell me whether it's the MCPatcher that causes this, or if it's my computer? Granted I use a laptop, but so far I've been able to play most mods like more items, moa' animals, and the yogbox with minimum lag. My system uses a Intel Core i3 CPU processor at M370 @ 2.40 Ghz and has 4GB RAM, and I have Nvidia GeForce 310M version 301.42. This is the crash-log: I only managed to get this after using the Crash aid at the top of the Support section, otherwise the game would flash the notice briefly and then turn black. Edit: I now have a new problem: I actually used ModLoader correctly this time (yes, I was that stupid) by putting the rar folders into the mods folder. However, now it crashes right away: NEVER MIND!! FIXED!!
