      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Ok, I need to ask. How did you do the little trim around the bottom edge of the bottom and top blocks ? I can't work it out :L

Edit: Nevermind, I got it :L .. You sir, are an innovator and a genius :P

I still can't figure out how this is done.

The pedestal is one full block, surrounded by worked stone. Each piece of worked stone was hit with the chisel 9 times on the outward-facing side, and once on top. The collumn was just a hit to each side of a piece of smooth stone. Here's the 'dissasembled' pedestal, maybe that'll make more sense:

Finally got around to having a proper play with the chisel (admittedly in creative :P)

Here's the album, I've decided that it's a mausoleum, although it's really purposeless, still, I can imagine a great warlock or necromancer or opressive warlord being buried there, in his intimidating island mausoleum. A monument to his power and dominance.

An Aquarium!! :o

Nice one mate, I really enjoy your chisel creations :D

They've actually really helped me get to grips with the chisel, because I am starting to understand how you have made these, so you're doing me a favour as well :P

Me and my friends are building on a survival TFC server and I did my house (brown/red wood) and the smithery (chert/granite) and did some nice chisel work.

Thats some nice chisel work there indeed ! :)

I'm really trying to improve my own chisel work, so that I might be of use to my next forum as a stonemason :D

We should form some kind of secret club with special handshakes ¬.¬

The secret handshake of the TFCMasons is ...

#<('_'<) But then I was like,

(>'#'<) "I'm hungry."

(>'-'<) So I ate it.

Working on making a rope bridge design, I can't make the fences look right really. If anyone has any idea's to improve it or make it look better I'm all ears.

Edit - Tried chiseling out some handrail type stuff and totally failed so fence is the best I've got for now.

Just noticed that the far right brick is one shave too thick, twitch lol. Also, that aqarium needs a squid floundering around in it.

So, when I use a chisel, all it does is turn regular stone into the retextured carved stone. I can't get it to change shapes at all. Pressing the mode switch button does nothing that I can tell...

you need a hammer in your inventory or hotbar as well as the chisel to shave off layers.

Yeah, I have that. You need a hammer to even make the carved texture that I mentioned.

~edit~

So, I looked through the news page and found this: http://www.terrafirmacraft.com/where-did-i-leave-that-chisel/

I can't get that sort of text to pop up, ever. Hitting the default key "m" doesn't do it (when holding a chisel and hammer or otherwise). Rebinding it to "i" or F4 doesn't change this either...

Finished up my house in the oddworld server today. The chisel is amazing for building, hopefully we get something that does it to wood soon. Credit to Azdoine for the awesome pillar design.

I made a church.. thing.. I like to think of it more as a cultist structure. Everything was made using creative mode, as I don't have an ounce of metal in my current TFC world. :[

Btw, the water has stairs underneath it with lava underneath the stairs, which makes them emit light. I think it makes them have a holy sort of look. :]

Well, I'm testing fruit trees this time around, so I did get to play with the chisel a bit. They're not amazing or anything, but enjoy my fail red horse and whooping crane.

That horse is pretty legit! Even if the tail turned out wonky, you can still pretend it's a scorpion/horse hybrid. :P The hoof and the saddle were nice touches.

I think I just shit a wall, forget the brick. Now I know what I am doing today in creative! Had I known you can carve bricks like this I would have been more entertained!
