      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

uber glitchy support beams on SMP

6 posts in this topic

support beams are so glichy on placing. ive been trying to build a bridge and every time i place a support beam it will randomly transport to soem other location on the vertical beam. that or it wont place at all. or it become invisable and when i place somthing by it. the beam and the item breaks. its gotten so bad to the point i can no longer build with support beams cause they refuse to place

and yes i am placing them right. vertical beams on the side of the horizontal beams and it goes 4 blocks out. will someone tell me y this is happening and or how to fix it

First Post: I have had this happen and it usually took a relog or complete restart of minecraft to make it stop. They act kinda funny when they are not being placed against a block so possibly you need to build a 1 wide wall on the side, build the supports to where you want them then take down the side wall. They bugged like hell whilst I tried to make a bridge and doing that made it much more bearable.

Second post: Your bar is incomplete and you need to melt more ore into it until the "Health Bar" finishes.

When placing a support on another one, treat it as though the support (you're placing it against) takes up the whole block (like stairs, not slabs), so you can't place anything behind it, or on a side that is next to a wall.

It just doesn't show that it functions like this (unlike stairs) (I'm referring to the outline of the block your looking at, the support one is incorrect, although it's the hit-box's fault)
