      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Unable to get cobblestone or smooth stone

Anyone have any suggestions? I just get rocks when I mine with my pick... and its bugging me a little. put 9 stacks of rock in the crafting table to see if that would work...... nope.

Those rocks you're getting are the cobblestone. Smooth stone - please clarify, the chiseled blocks? or the raw/rough stone you get from digging out adjacent blocks?

As in the vanilla smooth stone. can't get that blocks anymore and how do I make brick blocks as well?

Vanilla stone blocks don't spawn. If you're trying to get the raw stone blocks as-is out of the ground, mine out the adjacent blocks on all 6 sides. Also, IIRC, you can use the chisel (I think it requires a hammer in a slot as well at the same time) on a raw stone to make a smooth stone block which you can mine out.

Bricks are made by placing your chisel and a rock in the crafting grid.

The only cobblestone-style items I have in my inventory are from when a creeper blew up near me. That caused cube-shaped stones to drop.

the Creeper thing is a bug, and the thing is that the cobblestone blcoks can only be placed from a distance -something that bugs me a lot, but oh well.-. Also, Stairs and slabs can only be made with the chisel and the hammer on stone bricks/raw stone/cobblestone/smooth stone. Hope i helped :)

Try placing the rocks (non-cube shaped ones) a few blocks in front of you. There was a bug that caused player damage if placed too close so you have to be a few blocks away for it to work. Once you have a chisel, you can turn them into bricks which can then be turned into slabs and stairs using a hammer and chisel.

Afaik getting the "cobbleblocks" from creeper explosions is intentional. IE not a bug :)

I have no idea why, maybe the cobbleblocks are there for some type of compatability issue, or w/e. I was just told when I asked about it, around the time rock was introduced, that the creeper explosions where supposed to, sometimes, leave cobbleblocks behind.
