      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Use Rock as a weapon (javalin style)

My idea is use the loose Rocks as a weapon (also its other uses). You could throw the rock holding right click and release it.

The loose rock could not use as a cobble block when put it and when mine stone, the texture of cobble return to the old style.

I think (emphasis on the think) that when the construction overhaul gets implemented, the rock will no longer be placed to make cobble, but will be crafted with other things to make a cobblestone block. If this gets changed, then the rock would definitely be a viable throwing weapon.

+1 for increased versatility !

Excellent !

So Dunk, dev's perspective ? Is this worth implementing, or will it be pointless and more work than it is worth.

Also worth bringing up again is our old friend the sling :D .. Now that we have rocks, it might be more viable as an easy backup pure ranged weapon :P

i like being able to throw rocks, but honestly, we already have the javanin which isnt much more work to get atm, just mash a rock on a stick and boom

but if the javalin is changed, yeah im all for having rocks to throw at the small woodland animals

Yeah, it could be fun, but it wouldn't do any more damage than your fist. Only advantage would be the range.

There are times I wish I could punch people from a distance .. That distance being a computer screen away admittedly :P

That sounds like a fun wee addition :L

You could maybe make lead balls that do more damage (it would also give all of that useless lead a purpose :P)

Lead i assume only for slings right? not many people are able to chuck lead balls unless they have some lever (Slingshot for example).

lead already has a planned purpose. You probably aren't going to want to waste it.
