Help with MultiMC and TFCraft

Alright folks here is the deal,

First I am a Mod installing noob. (now that that is out of the way...)

I used MultiMc to install TFCraft so that I would not mess up my original Minecraft and could play it if the urge surfaced.

After installing MultiMC I then loaded into the Jar Mods Tab: Modloader, MCForge-universal-4.1.1.252, TFCraft-universal-core-B2-Build49h, in that order.

My Core Mods is empty.

My Mods Folder has Rei's Minimap in it.

My TFCraft runs with this setup however I would like to install Smart Moving. The Smart Moving says it needs Player API to work but I don't know where to drop the Player API in my MultiMC. Does it go into the Jar Mods? In a specific order?

Next I would like to be able to upgrade to the new builds as they are released but don't know how to do that either. In my only attempt I just pulled Build 49h out and stuck the newest build in and cleared my config folder. Doing this caused my game to crash so I undid the changes and everything was ok. So how do I upgrade my TFC?

So to recap....

1. Multi MC TFCraft- Does what I have now look right? If not what do I need to change.

2. Where does the Player API go in MultiMC?

3. Would Smart move then go in Mods Folder?

4. How do I upgrade to new builds? Can I do it without losing my worlds?

Anyones help would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance.

First welcome to the forum. And sec As far as I know you no longer need modloader. Since forge been updated, it no longer needed. There are couple of video out there.Google them is a option too. But I'll try to rundown few steps.

From MultiMC you create a Instance-

Right-click and Click edit Mods.

Install the latest Forge Universal into your jar file

Install PlayerAPI in the Jar also.

Place TFCraft_Universal into your Minecraft mods folder after installing the prerequisites.

So to keep it simple

In order- (Minecraft Jar Tab)

Minecraftforge-Universal (latest version)

Mc 1.32 player API Client (latest version)

(Mods Folder tab)

TFcreaft-Universal-core (latest version)

If you want to install Smartmoving, or other you need to make sure that it working first.

I install each item, run minecraft so it can create the folders it needs.

Smartmoving goes into the Jar Mod Tab.(note: you need to extract the file for Mod loader version to work.)

Rei Minimap goes into the (mods folder tab)

If you trying to update the TFcraft Mod, you need to make sure you delete the contend of the config file, and to rebuild the jar file.You just remove the TFcraft from the Mod folder- replace with the New version. Note: If there a change in code for the world Gen, you prob need make new world. It would most corrupted you save world.

Im sure if you do it slowly and step bye step. you shouldnt have any issue.
