      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The Official Help Dunk With His Homework Thread [Drink cactus juice! It'll quench ya!]

110 posts in this topic

Anyone care to clarify? I am confused. Additionally, I had also been teleporting to random coordinates near 0,0 and finding that no trees spawned far away from the original spawn point. Does it do the same for ores or something as you go further away from the original spawn point? This is now a thread about helping Dunk with his homework.discuss.

TFC generates the world completly different than normal MC.

The world is generated as the real world is. There is an equator (0 Z) And there are poles ( +-20k Z). Everything in between goes from Equator-near places like desert and low precipitation areas that are very hot and dont have too much vegetation, over to a moderate temperatures at about 10K and will drop fast after 15K Z you won't find too much stuff else than tundras.

The world is still infinite though if you go after +-20k Z there is nothing but frozen wasteland. But you can still go with the X axis, as this one is infinite as you know it. But if you are at 10k Z and go along the x axis the climate will almost not change.

If you don't find trees at 0,0 thats because trees are not very likely to spawn at the equator. This doesent affect the oregeneration.

I actually did not know that!

Man! i gotta make a pilgrimage to the equator now. i haven't seen a single desert in TFC yet. nor a tundra!

The reason for lack of trees at the equator currently is that the TFC code doesn't allow for hot and humid climates. You can find jungles at +- 5000 I think, but south is mostly dry desert or wasteland

also, cacti can't spawn because vanilla sand can't spawn.

Also I have an exam at 1:00 today and I'm screwed. (it's a history exam. advice pls)

History, the most difficult subject to study, apart physics.

Study all the dates, imagine something like a film of what happens while you read. Connect what you read with something you're thinking. I use this type of things when I need to study about 60 pages.

I honestly don't think physics is difficult to learn. In physics it's all makes sense and built up on simple theses.

History does not makes sense all the time to me, I find the only way to learn it is to memorise the dates. And paralleling dates with something, trying to find relations and intervals, maybe.

Only because I said physycs is difficult to learn for me doesn't mean that I can't learn it. Also "History is the most diffcult subject to study" doesn't mean that I have difficult studying history. Understand? Probably no, because there are too many compressed words.

I didn't say you can'n learn it either. And I think I provoked some sort of negative reaction, why that is?

No, I never make negative-reaction comments. It'd only because I don't use the emoticons so much.

This is also not negative. Just normal. ;)

I was referring to this part:

Maybe I just don't know English well enough.

It's only because sometimes I don't express myself well, not for your english.

EDIT: Don't think that I was offending you. I will NEVER offend somebody here. Remember, we are all friends here, remember.

I didn't think this way, actually. I just wondered if I did something wrong.

No, not you. I made the mistake of writing too many words expressing myself in a bad way.

Interestingly, that's also what people were saying in 1789.

Night included.

Come on, you have only 95% to study.

EDIT:Did you make it? How is it gone?

Rather, screw the studying and watch a documentary on the subject. THEN you study!
