      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Awesome. :) Do you make a living doing this? Have you always done it?

I must admit minecraft in general (and recently TFC) has really changed how I think of the real-life world. It used to be "I can't do this, can't do that, can't go there it's too far, can't go in this forest here not sure if I'm allowed, don't want to try that I might get hurt" and so-on. After a few years of minecraft I really feel more free in the real world, can travel farther with minimal supplies, can do more with my natural environment (like build shelters and stuff) and like I have less mentally-inflicted restrictions or fear.

So seeing this thread is especially interesting. I assume you don't smelt them from ores, or do you? I don't know much about real-life metal working.

No I don't smelt from the ore but I can I do have some copper ore I need to go through.  its pretty easy to ind ore in a river when you go camping or hiking.  and I hope to make a living off this its really fun to recreate almost any kind of object...almost, and Ive been doing this since February. TFC really sparked my interest.  minecraft itself got me going.  Ive always had a passion for this.  Thanks for the feedback though!

well buddy I like your sarcasm but i'm well aware that the mod isn't just metal working I was simply pointing out something I do as a hobby that relates to the mod. So don't just come to my post and be negative.  If you have nothing nice to say.  say nothing at all.  Unless its a really dumb suggestion, like npc's.... that's something dumb.

I am well aware of that too, it's just your topic title is a bit misleading, it makes it seem as if you think that TFC is just metalworking. I'm not saying that you do, it's the topic's title that does.

Srgnoodles, think for a while on what would be acceptable content, in your narrowly-defined corner of the world, for a post about doing TFC in real life. Would digging a tunnel through stone be okay, or would you minge about how he didn't forge his own tools? If it's about cutting down a bunch of trees and replanting them, are you going to poop all over it because there's nothing about making charcoal? [edit for harshness] You could have encouraged someone in doing something they think is fun, and thanked him for taking the time to share it with us, but instead you violated Wheaton's Law, which really is the least anyone asks of you online.

Thank you, for taking time out of your precious day to butt into a topic that you were in no way involved, and had no need to get involved in, just to insult me and re-open an argument that had already been resolved.

Hey, this is no place to argue! These pictures are great, although we are trying to expand out of being "the metalworking mod", as noodles said.

No need for hostilities here.

Yep. It's amethyst. I got this guy in Thunder Bay. But you can get all sorts of gems in TFC. :) Their only use is to make a Protection Meter though. I've never used that thing, Posted Image That's the texture for Exquisite Amethyst.
