      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So I haven't played tfc for almost an year.. I know the game is hard and all, but this:

it's just an overkill!!
What am i suppose to prepare 100 axes for my first night? (each zombie takes at least 2 axes to kill)

Dont hit them.  Hitting them just brings more.  Wait for daylight.

 

Could also try building a pit kiln at the base of your tower and lure them into it once lit.  Takes a while, but they burn.

but this some what should be fixed after 77.4 but they still do see you through any thing but leaves for around 80 blocks

 

oh yes hitting one has a 50/50 chance since we running 1.6.2 of them calling in helpers so be fair warned

Id just run. There is no use in fighting any hostile mob untill you have tools and a bed.

If you fight them, *you* make them all come at you. So don't unless you can handle it. Pick your fights better.

Not quite true.  if you hide and hide well, they'll ignore you.  However, if even one of them can see you, at all... you've got trouble coming.

 

Best thing you can do is dig in and stay under cover until the sun comes up.
