      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Suggested Name: Vanishing Jute

Suggested Category: Severe-Annoying

Description: Planted jute disappears in SMP, have not been able to identify direct reason. I believe that it is how the server handles jute after long hiatus from a chuck. After testing Jute in SP, Jute growth seems to be functioning (Full growth from June 1 to August 6 of the first year in 1000 Rain environment) so I do not believe it is a growth issue.

Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes

Does this happen with any other crops? In the code jute is just another instance of the crop block and has nothing special done to it other than it's drops don't have food weight.

No other crops are effected by this. I've seen grown Jute in the wild in newly rendered chucks, but I've yet to let it continue to grow.

Happened to me too, in single player, and now i can't find any other wild jute since i've taken all those that were growing in the wilds for miles.. only 2 seeds and 4 jutes.. they have to increase the number of seeds given by wild plants, since giving only one does not allow to increase the amount of farming for almost any kind of plants.. only regrowable vegs save themselves from this givin 1 upon taking fruits and one by removing the plant..

The initial single seed mechanic was intentional to stop early game players to quickly and vastly expanding their farms. However, after they've harvested enough crops and increased their agricultural skill, those plants will start dropping 2 seeds instead of one, allowing for expansion.

I've noticed that half an hour ago :) however, someone told me that jute doesn't love temperature below 10 °C so even if water near farm wasn't iced, if this guess is right, if temperature drop below that value, it may ruin jute harvest
