      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[0.78.7]Calendar mismatch between server and client

2 posts in this topic

Version #: 0.78.7Suggested Name: Calendar MismatchSuggested Category: AnnoyingDescription: If the year length is changed on the server, the server calculates calendar effects correctly, but the client side calendar displays incorrect information.

It looks like the client side calendar is displaying information based on the year length of the client config, not the year length of the server config.

At first I thought the year length simply wasn't changing, but then I had snow falling when the calendar displayed July.

I tested this by changing the server config to 120 days/year, and setting the server to day 9.

When the client side config is set to 96 days/year, the calendar shows "July 1" on the 9th day.

When the client side config is set to 120 days/year, the calendar shows "June 9" on the 9th day.

In all cases the server seems to correctly apply the year length of the server config. It is just a display issue for the client side calendar.

Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes

Welcome to the Forums!

This is a known bug due to the way that vanilla handles server vs. client configs. There isn't anything we can do to fix it until the 1.7+ port, where vanilla makes server configs overwrite client ones.
