      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[B78.15]Resources near spawn

9 posts in this topic

(Forewarning you that I'm new to posting seeds)

HERE'S WHAT I ENTERED FOR THE SEED (Don't laugh):
Gimme the chocolate, Bioxx

Here's the seed number:
-2052622204

I would just like to begin by saying that I really love how the land is generated in terrafirmacraft, forgive my eclectic tastes in building spots. This is a really nice seed, not just in resources, but also has some really great places to build (aesthetic-wise).

I left some discoveries unsaid, but there are some other perks that you'll find.

You spawn at approximately (64, -8547)(x,z)
It starts you in a mountain biome with basalt rock, a small pine forest, and I found pheasants within 10-15 blocks (Assuming animals are the same for every seed.)

You're near the ocean, but I remember fresh water being west or south-westerly from the spawn. The area around spawn is mainly ocean dominated. Overall, the larger part of what I explored feels like a giant peninsula in itself.

Geology:

In a brief description of the rock you'll find nearby; Basalt at spawn, conglomerate south of the basalt, chert south-east/east of conglomerate, and further east I found mudstone. There is a LOT of sand if you look around.

Trees and organics:

There's a good variety of trees, but the most notable being willow (in the chert rock area), and some redwoods (I believe they are called) at (855, -8554). This is a great build spot if you don't mind being away from the discovered ores.

There's also some Jute at (362,-8117)

A few interesting things
- There are a lot of pumpkins.
- I found more than plenty of sheep, some pigs and pheasants, but there was a depressing lack of cows nearby.

Ore deposits:
(Detected with P. Pick through surface metals, not the exact placement of the vein)

1. Bismuth - (13, -8456)
2. Native Gold - (46, -8429)
3. Native copper - (53, - 8432) (RIGHT NEXT TO THE GOLD)
4. Native copper - (59, -8453) (Most likely linked to #3)
5. Bismuth - (-86, -8454) (In a pretty cool spot, as well)
6. Garnierite - (316, -8163) (I have no idea what this is)
7. Galena - (12,-8566)

There were also a decent amount of clay deposits

As a final note, I would just like to rave a bit more about how much I love TFC scenery with some more excellent build spots.

There will be more seeds to come, but I have a lot of writing to finish, so there will be random times for posts.

Garnierite is a rare nickel ore that is used in high tier of steel. Before the introduction of the crucible, it used to be THE thing you look for for an eternity to progress. Now you also have to find graphite and kaolinite.

Thanks for the info!

I had definitely found graphite nearby, but not kaolinite, so I'll have to remember that

and further east I found mudstone.

Are you absolutely sure it was mudstone? If so, this world wasn't generated using a version after 78.0, when mudstone was removed.

I don't think there is anything called fluxstone. You can create flux using limestone, marble etc using a hammer. check out the wiki. http://wiki.terrafirmacraft.com/Flux

when people say "fluxstone" it's usually refering to stones that can be turned into flux.
