      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

A Boss -Giant Zombie

I am suggesting that the Giant Zombie be added in as a boss.

That spawns in rarely, and randomly around the world.

 

And Perhaps drops a Unique Item, gives the player a achievement of some kind,

I doubt that's gonna happen. Generally, the idea is to develop more realistic overworld creatures (mainly, wild animals) and moving all the vanilla Minecraft spooks underground. While there may be some changes in how those spooks will work and who knows, maybe there will be also some addition to them one day, overworld zombie bosses go way against the concept.

I wouldn't mind some slightly fantastical, unique creatures, but boss zombies roaming overworld randomly with unique items and acheivements don't strike me as something that I'd really like.

If there is a giant, I'd say put him underground in a Colosseum-like ruin.

 

The only thing I really see as a problem in this idea is the " spawns in rarely, and randomly around the world."

Randomly spawning boss-type mobs are pretty much the most annoying thing on earth(or in-game) as there is really nothing you can do to meet with it other then randomly travel around, and if it spawns near you when you are starting out.... well, it sucks.

 

So it should most defiantly have specific spawn areas/requirements.

 

On the slightly fantastical, unique creatures, how about giant snakes or birds?

I don't think this type of thing would be added to TFC. Because it's out of the goal the producers want to achieve.

Yeah... no.

No way in hell, ever.

 

Even if there ever WAS anything approximating a 'boss' monster (which I really doubt, considering that TFC isn't about 'beating' anything so much as it is about learning first to survive, and then to thrive), it would be very much non-randomized, and it would be in a remote and difficult to access area, like the new Nether rework dunk has been planning for like a year now.

 

A giant zombie boss has no use whatsoever (the fuck would it drop, a double chest's worth of rotten flesh? Oh boy, christmas came early!), and would contribute absolutely nothing to the mod other than early-game frustration and a complete disconnect from the main aesthetic of the entire world.

 

In the future, please don't just splurge out whatever you think sounds cool - you can do that in the suggestions section on the main minecraft forums. Here, only ideas that fit in with the core aesthetic of the mod need apply. Thank you in advance for your increase in forethought.
