      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So I just started using this mod after having not used it in a very long time, lots of stuff has changed apparently and I'm not positive what to do... x3 I tried the wiki but it looks like it could be outdated.

The majority of the wiki is up to date. Only a few pages are still for build 77, and I'm working quickly to get those finished.

 

If you're just starting out, the stone age guide, and then the metalworking guide are good places to check.

Go to the Let's Play section and select one of the channels.  Watching someone else play really helps, and some are quite entertaining as well.

If you do that, it is extremely important that you check the date that the video was released, and look for a version number that they are playing if it is possible. TFC is still in beta, which means that mechanics are constantly changing. You could be watching a series that is only a few months old, but still has a bunch of very outdated information that is no longer correct with the mod. A couple examples of this would be the rocks on the ground, getting seeds from breaking grass, and the entire food and nutrition system. If the series you chose to watch is for build 77, any information from the series on those topics would be of no help to you.
