      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

World stopped generating

So I was flying around in creative having a look at the landforms of a new seed when this happened...

At -7535z the whole world simply stopped generating. Anyone ever seen something like that before?

whatever server you are playing on, if you are, does not have enough memory dedicated to it.

I play single player, I have 8gb of ram dedicated to minecraft and it happen when you travel north around x:15000 or z:15000. It must be a bug in the current build.

You have too much memory allocated to Minecraft. Java will try and use all of the memory that you allocate to it, even if it doesn't need it. So having too much memory is going to cause just as many issues as having not enough.

 

I only have 2-3 GB allocated as a max in my single player world, and I can travel all the way to +/- 30,000 Z and then thousands of blocks along the X axis with absolutely no issues at all. There is no bug in TFC that is causing this.
