      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

questions on compatibility with other forge mods

I have a few minecraft servers, and was interested in adding TFC to one of my current Forge ones.

Right now it is running BuildCraft, ComputerCraft, IC2, IronChests, and Jammys Furniture mod.

As a quick test, I started a temp server with TFC incorporated into the server jay, but it gave an error about an animalspawn during world gen. It was not a critical error and completed the process.

I then added in 4096 id fix and it broke it completely.

With how many block ID's TFC uses in combination with the rest this fix is a absolute must for me in my servers. On the forum I read a post that someone was able to get it to work with TFC, if anyone has any knowledge on getting this to work I would greatly appreciate it.

As well, if I get past this point, does anyone have knowledge on how compatible TFC is with BuildCraft, ComputerCraft, and IC2?

I think you have to delete all your config files when switching to 4096 block ID's, because it needs to reassign all the blocks. I haven't personally tried installing multiple mods, but I imagine if you do, it will be very difficult to get a diamond drill!

since bioxx removed the vanilla furnace completely. You'l hardly be able to get anything in IC2 to work since the tier one energy generator has a vanilla furnace as it's base item. you'd maybe be able to craft an iron furnace tho. if the iron ingot's from TFC are compatible? I dunno. I also don't know if you could actually grind limonite in a IC2 macerator and get 2 iron out of it. (i doubt it, so one of the major reasons for wanting IC2 in the first place sort of goes out the window)

Then there is the world changes from Redpower 2 as well.... imagine the scenery clashes between RP2 world generated pieces and the TFC ones.

Jammy Furniture mod has a lot of conflicting Id's with TFC, I had to change them manually. Now I can craft all the furnitures with the TFC planks.

They're all pretty much compatible with eachother-the problem is, TFcraft removes all methods of creating the items from other mods.

Gneiss cobble can't make stone transport pipes. An exquisite diamond can't make a laser. Steel does not equal refined iron.

Also, TFC world gen can clash horribly with other mods. Redpower world, for instance, causes lava flows to generate on the surface in every biome.

You can enable the conversion recipes in the options file. To conver wrought Iron, diamond and cobblestone into the vanilla ones. Then you can craft with those

Yeah, TFC is not only another forge mod. Is a totally overhaule o minecraft life! *-*

It don't just add new blocks, it swaps all the raw materials, basically. So you can't, for example, break TFC Trees with normal vanilla Axes. Is the same as punching it. You can, in the other way, break TFC rocks with vanilla Pickaxes.

The other forge mods only add new metals and such, so them should probably work with any other mod that just have the normal vanilla IDs.
