      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Glitches with Mobs Spawning

I am currently creating a private pack based around progression, using TFC as well as some other mods. However, not only are many Mo Creatures mobs & TFC endermen spawning, but many vanilla mobs are as well. And I don't mean TFC vanilla mobs; I mean the vanilla ones with only around 20 health that I could wreck with a stone knife :P . Anyway, here's the list of mods if you need it:

Definately disable MoCreatures (TFC buffed TFC health/damage by ~50 times or so compared to Vanilla)

 

If the custom mob spawner mod requires you to find mob spawners, disable that as well (you can't find mob spawners in TFC)

 

The weather mod sounds like something that might not work (I have no idea what that mod does so I could be wrong)

 

Enviromine has lots of duplicate functionality with TFC, so check the configs to disable conflicting features

 

Other than that, good luck getting your setup to run.....You'll need it

It's working well, besides the mob glitch & the fact that the Moon is just void :P . Any ideas for the cause of the problem?

And isn't there a config for mob health?

Also, any mod suggestions? I'm a bit low on mods due to the fact that TFC is so large.

CustomMobSpawner is probably causing the vanilla mobs to spawn. MoCreatures would have to have the config for mob health, so you'll have to ask them. TFC does not support dimensions other than the overworld, or armor from other mods, so the fact that you can even get to the moon without crashing is impressive.

I doubt that a crossover mod would be added for quite some time.. considering Stone-Age to space travel is a huuuuuuge jump in timeline.

It'll probably become compatible automatically once traveling to other dimensions issues are fixed

 

As for when that will happen......Well it was a known issue since 2012 and its still not fixed......so whenever the devs feel like it

 

Basically it may happen sometime in the future

 

This mod is one of those mods that might be best played one playthrough a year to see what new features have been added since the last time you played it

 

The devs are very ambitious and TFC most definitely lives up to the name of Total conversion. Just expect a development cycle similar to Dwarf Fortress and you'll be fine

Like Palisight stated, other dimensions have been broken for around 2 years, and it still hasn't been fixed because it isn't high priority on the list of TFC development. I won't give an exact ETA because you never know what mood Bioxx is in for adding new content, but you can interpret that 2+ years however you wish.

The mod list on this server might give you a idea what has been proven to be compatible with .78

 

Mind you however that .79 should be out soon. And that version won't be compatible with 0.78, so you might want to wait  a few weeks?, a month? (I'm not asking for a release date. These are just guesses)

 

But yeah unfortunately mods like reactorcraft, gregtech, and galacticcraft aren't compatible yet. Maybe in the future

No. 79 has been confirmed for Minecraft 1.7+ for quite some time now. The current version it is planned to be released on is 1.7.10
