      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Adding recipes for gem blocks?

3 posts in this topic

I noticed in the other thread MineTweaker was mentioned - I hadn't heard of this.

But now I can see that I can in fact add in recipe's to create the vanilla gem blocks for aesthetics, I thought I'd try it for myself.

How can I use anything other than a Chipped gem?

That's the only thing I can find the item list that gets generated from everything I have installed - no mention of for example Flawless or Exquisite anywhere.

My thinking was that you'd need lots of chipped gems, but only a couple of exquisite gems to make a block.

They're all the same item, just with different metadata values. So picking a random number, let's say that diamonds have an item ID of 1000. Chipped Diamond is 1000:0, which is the same as 1000. Flawed diamond is 1000:1. Normal is 1000:2, Flawless 1000:3 and Exquisite 1000:4.

Ahh ic!

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Ok giving up lol

I forgot there are only Diamond, Emerald and Lapiz Lazuli blocks in game already and I have no clue how to add new blocks.

Can live without, just thought it would be nice and simple to add, but turns out not.

Change of plan again - implemented it another way.

Just took each gem's nearest colour from what's already in the game.

You simply need 9 gems in the grid to make the vanilla block.

Agate - RedstoneAmethyst- RedstoneBeryl - DiamondDiamond - DiamondEmerald- EmeraldGarnet- RedstoneJade - EmeraldJasper- Lapis LazuliOpall - DiamondRuby- RedstoneSapphire - Lapis LazuliTopaz - GoldTourmaline- Gold

In case others would like this, just download the GemBlocks.zs file from below and place it in your .minecraftScripts folder.  Delete the file to remove it.
