      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

How are you making these textures? I would be interested to know how these kinds of high-res textures are made. I hope it is not like LB's Photorealism where it totally rips off Google Images. (i mean, have you seen the pumpkin texture?) [and yes I do know this is an LB Photorealism addon]

Well, at least then you know you're getting photorealistic textures! xD though they're horrible application to MC, as opposed to Misa's

To be honest, i think so yes. As soon as i get back to TFC, which is probably soon but i will not promise anything yet, i'm sorry to keep you guys waiting but it's really pointless to do this when i'm not playing the mod myself.

Lance, what would get you back into TFC? I would very much enjoy the completion of this texture pack, as would several other of my servermates.

Hey not sure if this a work in progress or abandoned. Just wanted to say I couldent get the TFC part to work at all. tried a bazilion way to get this to work. Whats the deal? does something need to be updated. I followed the instruction and everything is working on my end.

Pretty sure the texture pack was abandoned, and is not compatible with Minecraft 1.6, which is why you can't get it to work with the latest build of TFC

Im very sorry for replying so late.

 

This is indeed true, unfortunately my texture pack is not working anymore as i'm simply not playing minecraft anymore, that includes of course Terrafirmacraft. If that changes in the future i'm certainly going to update it, i'm still holding on to the source files of this and i keep getting messages from people how much they liked it, i just cant make myself invest that much time into something i'm not even using myself.

When I started playing TFC, I got stonecold and chroma hills and got it to work fine, but with 78 a lot of the textures went back to the vanilla version.  So I opened up the terrafirmacraft folder inside the texture folder and compared to a texture pack that is up-to-date.  The soil and sand blocks changed their names.  It looks like they used to be numbered and now they are named by the associated rock layer.  So I renamed them to the correct names- not really matching the soil/sand colors to the rocks.  I just wanted some 128x textures, I didn't really care about accuracy.  There is some other stuff missing too.  New meats, and berry bushes.  For the meats I just replicated the mutton and set the dupes to the new names.  For the berries, I used a tree image and made all the missing berry files.  There's some new underwater bushes that I just copied a sapling onto.  A new 'short grass' that I copied the short wheat to.  Oh, and the 'sparse grass' overlay is actually used in this version and it looks pretty bad, so I just copied the opaque grass coverage to the sparse version.  Looks good to me now.  Not sure what to to with the final result though...
