      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Yet more problems with animals

14 posts in this topic

I know this subject has been talked about before but I seem to have another problem now.  Ive gotten my sheep up to shearing level but Im now not able to feed them anymore, including for breeding. this has only happened with animals which I am trying to tame. Wild animals will

I'll answer the obvious questions now. yes, I am shift right clicking and its been a few days since I last tryed to feed them.

Currently my only though is that the animals are fully tamed and will take no more grain. Although if that is true why can I not breed them?

Your assistance is welcome.

Are you sheep hanging out on grass blocks? They're probably eating the grass whenever they are hungry, so there are never hungry when you try to feed them.

If you want your sheep to get hungry enough that you can feed them to breed them, put them on something other than grass, and then just put them out to pasture to eat grass after you shear them and need the wool to grow back.

I didnt realise they had to be hungry to eat the grain, is this new for .79.8? anyway that will probably solve my problem.

also wow at the fast reply.

Should also be noted that shearing sheep familiarizes them and breeding is a higher familiarity requirement than shearing

Yep, but i guess my sheep where just to full to get up to breeding.

Please update to 79.9 and use the new familiarization indicator to take a look at your sheep.

I see the new familiarity hart above my animals but not quite sure how its supose to look, both my untamed and shearable sheep look the same as well as my breedable pigs. from the change log i asume this means they all can be tamed more and they all can revert if left alone.

Could you provide a few screenshots of what the indicators look like on your different animals?

A white border on the heart means that the animals familiarity will not revert. A yellow heart means the animal is fully tame.

Here's a picture of the white border:

And here's the picture of an empty heart without the border:

Same. Maybe old worlds don't work?

Maybe, this is a .79.0 world, although if is was i would expect more people to have this problem too, right now it seems quite isolated.

It probably is/was an bug in 79.8/79.9 - familiarity is not being synchronized correctly between server and client (also affects SSP). Only Wolves are not affected...

There is already a fix proposed for the next revision.

Ah! yes you're right. That was something that I noticed in wolves after I copied the code.
