      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SMP

Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes

Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: No

This is not a bug. You can feed animals more than once, but you can only familiarize them once. If you couldn't feed them more than once, you wouldn't be able to make sure they are completely full so that they can regenerate health or breed.

In previous versions (.7) I was only able to feed them once a day. Upgrade to .9, same cow (the bigger one of the 2), the next day I was able to feed it 160oz of grain. .9 might have reset the hunger levels?

I don't know, it didn't seem right, so I raised it.

FYI. A friend is still on 78.8 and has confirmed he has only been able to feed his animals once a day.

I'm looking at the code for cows right now. There's no way you should be able to give grain more than once to the same cow.

Hm, yeah, I was hoping for something like that, something that tells you that you already fed one particular animal for familiarity. But what Kitty said may be true: if you can feed them only once, how do you breed them?

this "feeding" I'm talking about is specific to familiarity. Giving them grain for breeding is a completely separate action. The familiarity check can only occur if an animal hasn't been familiarized yet that day. If it has, everything works as it would in b78, aside from not being able to breed animals that aren't familiar.
