      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Large Clay Vessels

4 posts in this topic

Greetings everybody,

New to TerraFirmaCraft, and the forums. The addition of Large Clay Vessels has me excited, but, currently, I am having trouble finding a means of cooking them. I can't set them on the ground to cook in a pit kiln and I have not been able to find an alternative means of cooking clay objects as of yet.

Also, when I can make one, to place it on my back, all I have to do is shift-click, correct?

Greetings everybody,

New to TerraFirmaCraft, and the forums. The addition of Large Clay Vessels has me excited, but, currently, I am having trouble finding a means of cooking them. I can't set them on the ground to cook in a pit kiln and I have not been able to find an alternative means of cooking clay objects as of yet.

Also, when I can make one, to place it on my back, all I have to do is shift-click, correct?

make a 1x1x1 hole,

put the vessel on the ground of the hole by shift-right-click,

add 8 pieces of Straw by right-clicking,

add 8 logs also by right-clicking

fire it with a firestarter.

see: http://wiki.terrafirmacraft.com/Pottery#Pit_Kiln

to equip it:

pick it up (shift-right-click),

open the inventory,

click on it,

move it to the (hidden) slot right of the chest slot,

click again.

it's the same as with the quiver: http://wiki.terrafirmacraft.com/Quiver#Equipping

You can put up two 4 pieces of your formed clay items with shift-right-click on the ground, but only one large vessel. How to make the pit kiln and fire it should be well explained on the TFC wiki, nothing new there.

To drag the fired large vessel (or later a barrel) just like a quiver into your back slot, which is right next to the chest slot. I have never tried to shift-clicking it there, but TFC doesn't like shift-clicking in general ...

[Edit:] Sorry, too late :P

Ahh, I see my mistake now.

I was attempting to place the large vessel with other clay objects that were already placed.

Thank you both.
