      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Version #:79.9.357

SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SSPSuggested Name: Temperature Bug at y=252 feet heightSuggested Category: MinorDescription: When your feet are at y=252 the temperature suddenly goes up ~20oC. At 251 and 253 the value is as expected. I created a new 79,9 world and tested it in there as well. Images. http://imgur.com/a/bUDz9Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes*If you answered no to the above question, delete your config files and try to reproduce the bug. This question is here because many bugs are caused by mistakes in config files. All bug reports should have an answer of "Yes" to this question.Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: YesIf yes, which mods?

I have seen this a long time. I figured it has to do with the block height limit (at 255) somehow. At the block height limit, the biomes do not exist. However, it's indeed level 253 that is much much warmer than levels 252 and 254. I didn't report this bug because it's not a big deal really.

the temperature adjustment formula has an error at z=254 (eye-position).

It is a discontinuity at that point where there is a change in the temperature profile (simulated end of troposphere?)

I suggested a fix for it (PR #654) and added some optimization [:-)
