      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So whenever I try to access the wiki I get this

I talked to a couple guys on the IRC but they ended up saying they have no clue to whats going on. I live in Canada so it's not an ISP problem. I the latest Java 64 bits installed, using 64bits chrome, and it is not a plugin/add-on that causes the problem as Firefox fresh install gives me the exact same page.

One other thing: the only way I can access the page is by using the Tor browser, BUT first it gives me this page:

And OF COURSE the captcha image doesn't load 3 out of 4 times so I just can't access it anyway.

This is infuriating. I don't know why it's so hard to access a god damn wiki.

I think you are, everything on the wiki is loading fine for me. Even recently changed pages I haven't looked at before.

Hmmmmm.......Very stange. Have you tried:

Different browser

Clearing Cashe

Accessing through a proxy

I know that when I'm at work (I work in a middle school), accessing wikis can be difficult because the web filter tends to mess up the formatting. Your image looks a lot like when I try to access wikis at the school. Logging in with my staff credentials solves the issue, even though the wiki isn't esplicitly blocked by the filter. As for alternatives to the wiki...Well, you can reach out to the community for help, of course. Ask for help on a server, here in the forums, or in a chat service (If TFC has one). I would also suggest the NEI plugin. I've never used it myself, but I hear it's very usefull for recipes.

Have you tried running a malware scan like the screen suggested? From the screenshot you provided, it looks like cloudflare is blocking your computer from accessing our website because it suspects that your computer is infected.

Might just be because of Tor and how it works. It connects to a random IP from somewhere around the world, and when the captcha picture actually appears, I can enter it and I can access the wiki from there. That's like .... so weird I would pay a million bucks to understand WHY I am getting a 404 error, also it never happens on any other website, I NEVER get 404 for no reason like this

edit: no my computer is not infected. It is clean cut

edit2: I changed DNS and it DID NOT fix the problem.

You could try to access the wiki via VPN server, to narrow down the problem ...

What is VPN and how would it help in this case? Also I fell like in the end it's going to be some dumb straight forward answer that fixes this ridiculous problem

VPN means "virtual private network", you can search wikipedia for that. Basically it lets you access the internet via an extern server, often in another country, for instance this would allow you to access locally denied websites. Since I currenly live in China, where many international addresses are not accessible (including youtube, facebook and google) I am forced to use VPN here.As for how that could help you: If you try that and can indeed access the wiki normally, that would mean that the problem lies with your local internet connection, or maybe even a firewall at your place.

@alice We're both from Québec c:

Also I am 100% sure it's not a localisation problem.

I'm assuming you meant location problem, as localisation is a synonym to translation. And if you are 100% sure, then you should have no worry about trying a VPN to confirm.

Have you tried several different browsers yet? Same result every time? Tried to access the wiki with a smartphone? Phone via w-lan?
