      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Lumber not stacking

7 posts in this topic

Version #:SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): sspSuggested Name: Lumber not stackingSuggested Category: AnnoyingDescription:

When crafting lumber the lumber wont stack unless it is shift clicked out of the crafting window. This is with a bronze saw and so far with any wood type.Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: YesDo you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: YesIf yes, which mods?

fastcraft 1.9

mapwriter 2.1.2If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them?*Both Optifine and Cauldron edit the base classes of forge that TFC uses. Because of this, we cannot officially support any issues that happen only when these mods are installed.Pastebin.com link of the Crash Report:

Could you be more specific? Where exactly is it not stacking, just on your cursor while you keep right clicking? Or when you put it in your inventory can you literally not stack new lumber with old lumber? As for the former, that's because TFC has it's own crafting handlers, and unless somebody else wants to make a PR to fix it, I doubt the effort will be put in to fix such a minor thing.

Edit: I can't reproduce either behavior. Bronze saw, and both oak and acacia logs. Left click on the output slot and I pick up 8, left click again and I'm holding 16. If I start with right-clicking on the output slot, I'll pick up to 32. If I shift-click the output slot, it makes as many as it can and they all stack in my inventory. All of the lumber can be stacked to 32, split, and stacked onto itself again.

Edit2: You also left out the version number information in your template. Please update your post to include it, as it is vital information and was put in the template for a reason.

It wont stack in the inventory, What happens is I end up with multiple stacks of 8 lumber that don't want to merge, but if i shift click the lumber out of the crafting window there is no problem(this is from logs to lumber). Its an odd bug to reproduce Ive done it by manual removing one new stack of lumber from the crafting grid and shift clicking the rest out.

I do realize this is probably not worth fixing, for future reference do you still want to know about small bugs like this, even if you don't have any plans to fix them or should I just not bother bringing them up.

Could you please give an exact list of the logs that you've tried that makes this happen? Because I can't reproduce it at all, and if we can't reproduce it, we can't fix it.

I just tried this again with a new saw and now i cant reproduce it, also the saw I had before has disappeared so it was probably the saw all along.

Anyway I guess this can be closed now. but would you still like to know about these small insignificant bugs?
