      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved][79.13.468] Chiseled Block and Falling Blocks

6 posts in this topic

Version #: 79.13.468

SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SSP / SMP**

Suggested Name: Loop falling - stuck falling

Suggested Category: Severe** to Annoying

Description: Chisel a block from below, any dirt or cobblestone placed next to it will move over one space to cover the chisel block and there's a constant falling sound with it. Seems it thinks there's a hole there and it thinks there's a block there to, ie falling rules say move over and drop but movement rules say move over and stay.

** Crashed me on a server, thought it was a fluke , (had regular and slab blocks by each other, and since some where slabs from the bottom they all looked the same up top).

Happened on a server with no crash, and tested it on a fresh build and still does it. Crash was only on the server.

Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes
*If you answered no to the above question, delete your config files and try to reproduce the bug. This question is here because many bugs are caused by mistakes in config files. All bug reports should have an answer of "Yes" to this question.

Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: No

If yes, which mods?

If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them?
*Both Optifine and Cauldron edit the base classes of forge that TFC uses. Because of this, we cannot officially support any issues that happen only when these mods are installed.

Dig down, chisel block from bottom, put dirt where the black ovals are, the dirt will then move on top of the chiseled block and make the looping fall sound.

Well, I've tried to reproduce this bug myself, but haven't been able to figure out the configuration for making this happen. Could you perhaps provide a diagram?

Like Hubertus said, if you could provide some screenshots or something it would be very helpful, as I can not reproduce it either.

As for the crash on the server, as always the policy is crash report or it didn't happen.

Well, I was going to reproduce this bug and then upload a video of it, but then I blew up my gaming rig (Actually, MSI blew it up when I sent to to them to have it repaired [That time was my fault]). So instead I recorded the bug happening on a potato! It's very laggy and uses inferior recording software, but again, this thing is a potato.

Watch it in action here:
