[Solved] panning not working .78.17

So I tried the latest a month or so ago, and panning was broken... so they mod was basically broken. (I tried looking around for copper bits and never found any... hours wasted)

here I come again, and tried .78.17 both on SP and MP I made a gold pan by taking knife and log making sticks to 4 sticks in table = bowl, bowl in table = panning bowl thing.

 

now the problem is that when I right click on gravel or dirt in the water, nothing happens...

whats going on?

The latest major version of TFC is build 79, and we are no longer unfortunately offering support for older versions.

 

As for your issue, if you were to read through the change log archives and see all the change logs related to build 78, you would see the following message from the 78.14 log:

• You'll now need to shovel the gravel out from under the water as you can no longer fill gold pans from blocks beneath water.

 

Please note that while this topic is resolved by "reading the change log", it does not violate Rule #2 of the support forum, as we do not expect members to read through the entire change log archives.

Where are these rules?...

I've got that working, but now making a sluice box don't seem to work...

in the latest, has sluiceing been fixed? how would you even play this mod without sluicing?

Are you viewing the website on mobile? On the desktop version, the rules are in massive text at the very top of the support forum.

 

 

Sluices are indeed disabled in 78 because they weren't working properly. You can play just fine without sluicing by using the propick and mining for ores, especially considering that even if the sluice did work in 78, it only works if there are veins in the area.

 

Sluices were re-enabled in 79.
