      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Start Up Crashing

5 posts in this topic

Version #: 0.79.14SSP/SMP: SSPSuggested Name: Start up crashingSuggested Category: severeDescription: For the past couple of days, every time i load up my terrafirmacraft world, it crashes almost immediately. This problem doesn't seem to occur on different worlds with the same mods. When i load the world, i usually catch a glimpse of the singe chunk that my character is in (usually for a second or two) and then minecraft crashes. I thought that this might be a slight glitch that would work itself out, but it has been occurring for the past couple of days.Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: YesDo you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: YesIf yes, which mods?: Fastcraft-1.9If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them? Somehow a chunk in your game became corrupted. There are plenty of different things, including vanilla stuff that could have caused this.

Your only solution is to either delete the region data for the corrupted chunk, or use 3rd party software like Minecraft Region Fixer:

Deleting an entire region data file is going to reset a fairly large area back to what it was when it was originally generated, so anything you built in that area will be gone.

If you are familiar with NBT editors, you can just delete the single corrupted chunk (16 x 16 blocks), which according to your report is located at

Chunk (53,-440) inside of r.1.-14.mca

The exact coordinates of the block in the corrupted chunk is 853, 147, -7025

I'd strongly suggest that you try running the 3rd party software first, as well as make sure that your render distance isn't set to a high value from Minecraft 1.8+, before resorting to just deleting the file.

If absolutely all else fails, and you don't care about a massive area (512 x 512 blocks) of your world being reset, delete r.1.-14.mca
