      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Barrel behavior.

Suggested Name: Wacky barrels?

Suggested Category: Annoying

Description: When you destroy a barrel, they do not travel in the same way other items do. Sometimes they go flying up to 10 blocks away, I've seen. Sometimes they aren't even in the same place that I wind up picking them up, if that makes much sense.

Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes, but it's not really a config bug.

Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: Yes

Additional note: I know that's alot of mods, but most of them are just client side and as far as I know, none of them would alter how far a broken entity travels. I'm only reporting this because I've noticed that it doesn't travel like any other item in the mod, and it could cause issues. (eg. Max range I've listed was 10 blocks, what if there's a deep sea within 10 blocks, and it falls right in? That's a rather large piss off, heh.)

There's no special code when barrel blocks are broken and drop as items. It uses the exact same spawnEntityInWorld method that all other tile entities (anvils, chests, tool racks, etc) use when they are broken.
