      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Forging Metal Sheets [SOLVED]

I have been playing TFC for a while now and i have successfully made metal sheets many times in the past. I have the Lanterns mod as my only addition to the base mods, and i have successfully made many lanterns. However for some reason recently when I try to make metal sheets on my anvil, i just can't. I meet all of the rule requirements and i line up the arrows, but the metal sheet does not pop out like it usually does. I have used the durability of almost two entire bronze hammers trying to make ONE metal sheet. I have reloaded the Lanterns mod to no avail, and i have reinstalled TFC. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this might be happening? I am just really terrible at smithing?

First make sure that all of the outlines on the rules are green, and that the images match up to confirm that you did indeed meet the rules, and didn't make some mistake like doing them backwards.

 

If you are 100% positive that all 3 rules are met, and that the two arrows line up perfectly, re-select the plan for a sheet on the anvil. Generally speaking, re-selecting the plan is the solution to any problems you have with smithing.
