      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[User Error] Anvil will not convert ingot to tool heads

5 posts in this topic

TFC Version #: 0.79.15

Forge Version #: 7.10.85.1291 / 10.13.2.1291

*Please note that an actual number must be provided for both of the above fields.
*Simply saying "current" or "latest" will result in your post being locked, due to the fact that in a large number of cases, users who say they are using the "latest" or "current" version are actually using an outdated version.

SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SMP

Suggested Name: Anvil will not convert ingot to tool heads

Description: I have tried to work several different tools out of copper ingots (copper anvil, stone hammer) and everything seems in order. I followed the plans, the boxes have turned green to indicate correct working, the green and red points are lined up, the ingot is at workable temperature. But it will not turn into a pickaxe head. I managed to make a saw blade earlier, I think it was the first thing I tried. Everything after that hasn't worked. As suggested in a few other bugs, I tried to re-select the plan, or change the plan and then select the correct one again, but it won't convert.

I have attached a screenshot of the anvil screen, if that helps.

Have you deleted your config files or are using default configs and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes

Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: No

As stated arrows not aligned. This is user error not a bug.

Wow, that is way, way more precise than previous editions. Hopefully the range widens as my skill increases?

Thanks for the pointer, and sorry for the noise. If I get a perfect hit and no conversion, I'll post another screenshot.

Nope it is always the same. You do get better at doing it though. The moves that work are consistent in the seed for each type of metal item/tool. So you'll start to learn them especially for things you make a lot.
