      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Food prep area display bug

 Description:

 

A bit of a strange bug. When looking at a food prep area at certain angles, the items displayed in it change to different items. Purely visual and only persists until you stop looking at that angle. The actual items inside the prep area inventory seem unaffected.

Different types of food change to specific, repeatable item surfaces; onions turn to a purple square, similar to the old broken Locked Chest color. Red Bell Pepper is uncolored grass. Tomato is uncolored wood. Ect.

Only happens on Fast grapics mode, not Fancy, presumably due to the different method of rendering the food on the block.

Images of the bug in action, all I had to do was look downward in this case. Though those screenshots have the minimap mod, I tried again with just forge and TFC and it yeilded the same results.Changing the food type appears to change the required angle. On the same block, I tried a different combination, and the angle required to trigger the bug changed. Also happened in other locations, with even more food combinations.45°ish angles seem like a common trigger.

Just confirming that I can reproduce this bug. It's really quite odd and I'm not sure what's causing it, but I'll definitely take a look when I've got some time to just tinker about with it. If this isn't marked as solved when the next version releases, could you pretty please respond to this post or even send me a PM reminding me of it?

Can verify that it's in 0.79.19.706, as well.

Rather than fixing this, I'm just going to change it so the food prep uses the same "Fast" render as pottery, in that the items are still floating, but they do not spin as they do with fancy graphics.

 

Edit: Bioxx is looking into actually fixing it and keeping the flat render, but if that doesn't work the above solution will still be implemented for .20
