You are running java 6 you need to upgrade to java 8. I'll try and find the instructions I've posted previously.

I can't find the guide. Basically go to Java.com and grab the 1.8u51 Java for Mac. Install it. The in your system preferences there will be a Java icon at bottom. This will open up a Java preferences GUI. Click the Java tab and click view. In there it will give your current version and its path. You can see the path for mine where I've entered it in this image.

Alright thank you. I'm kinda known as the computer guy in my family so I can't believe I didn't think of this. I had installed an older Java to run an app I don't even use anymore.

Wow. Actually I have Version 8 but I've missed 20 updates.

Okay I have the latest version of Java 8 and I only have TerraFirmaCraft and Fastcraft in the mods folder. All text is white boxes (sometimes with little specs in them), and I'm still getting the same crash and error.

I did a clean install and re-Forged Minecraft. Still got the white boxes instead of text. Now, I can forceunicodefont in the options.txt to make the game playable. It doesn't crash anymore, but some blocks (belonging to TFC) are glitchy flashing textures.

So I completely missed you saying yes to Optifine. This is the cause of your current problems. As it says below remove and reproduce the problem. Optifine messes with base classes and so tends to cause issues. The ultra version is most definitely not compatible with TFC. The standard may work, but any issues you have must be reproduced without Optifine before reporting. Edit: ok I even misread that field. Your first crashlog says you have Optifine. Can you reproduce without Optifine? I'm pretty certain you will not be and my above statement is still valid.

I used Optifine at first because it fixed the white boxes. TFC ran for a good while with Optifine. Then it stopped working for some reason and the crashes started. Now, without Optifine, the glitchy textures and white boxes happen. Again I am using a clean install of both Minecraft and Forge.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers? Have you tried turning mipmapping off in the video settings? Usually the white boxes are caused by an issue with your graphics card.
