      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Add configs better protect players' possessions

4 posts in this topic

Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the suggestions forum?(Yes/No):
Answering "no" to the above question will result in your post being deleted.

Yes.

Sorry for my English if it's not good :)

I suggest there should be some config options function like below:

Disable/enable falling blocks breaking containers(Chests,Barrles, etc)and ingot piles
Disable/enable tool racks and ingot piles drop after blocks they attached to being broken(means they are independence from those blocks).

This is from an inglorious reason.I'm running a server with TFC installed and using LWC to protect players' possessions. But it works not so well.Last week a guy that conflicts with some other players broke all their containers, ingot piles and tool racks by falling dirt and breaking blocks that tool racks attached to,destroyed items dropped and left the server.Unfortunately,Coreprotect rollback works not well with those TFC objects. And after the accident was known several players griefed others with the same method.Really don't know what they are thinking about. :(
Now I'v banned those players and no griefing happened till now.But this is not a long term solution.I tried storing things with vanilla chest but soon I found that this prevents food from decaying so it's not a solution as well. And I don't want using Residence plugin for it may have a bad effect to gaming experience.

Really hope my suggestion being considered. The device-breaking features are unfriendly to multi-player.

If you are running lwc then you are running kCauldron. So you are able to run prism and rollback issues such as this.

If you are running KCauldron you can use Towny and have full protection.

Thank you for your advice.I'll try using prism instead of coreprotect. For Towny,it is not suitable for my server in gaming experience. But I'll consider it as the second choice.

Still hoping my suggestion being considered. It may affect less to gaming experience, prevent griefing from happening and handier for users than configuring plugins. :)
