Aesthetic blades?

Something I envision when picturing TFC2 in multiplayer are multiple blade types, from thinner rapier blades to quirky kukri blades. So I thought I'd mention my little idea, it's that maybe weapons in TFC2 could have multiple aestetic variants, not necessarily needing to be different stat wise but just looking different is pretty cool. A pirate with a straight sword isn't really a pirate is it? A samurai without a katana isn't a samurai is it?

These aestetic options could grab from varying cultures and even spread into different weapons like maces or warhammers with differently shaped heads. This gives players variety without the issue of balancing to make things fair.

yah i actually had an idea like this too, maybe it could even extend to tools, like having a hatchet vs a battleaxe, or even a short bow vs a longbow, for example. I think it would be awesome. (also you would probably just have different plans for each sword in the anvil)
