      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Effects caused by pain

5 posts in this topic

These should be effects for when you take heavy damage:

  • Falling in lava:                        Blindness, and strong random head movements.
  • Getting on fire:                      Random head movements
  • Something falling on you:   Nausea (0:10), Blindness (0:03)

That can depend on the type of damage, taking as a model TFC1's attack damage types (It's probable that it won't work in the same way)

Piercing:

  • 200-349:   Slowness (0:01)
  • 350-499:   Slowness II (0:03)
  • 500-749:   Slowness III (0:05)
  • 750+:         Slowness III (0:20)

Slashing:

  • 200-349:   Mining Fatigue (0:10)
  • 350-499:   Mining Fatigue (0:20) and Slowness (0:03)
  • 500-749:   Mining Fatigue II (0:30) and Slowness II (0:05)
  • 750+:         Mining Fatigue III (0:40) and Slowness III (0:20)

Crushing:

  • 50-99:       Blindness (0:005)
  • 100-199:   Blindness (0:01), Nausea (0:02)
  • 200-349:   Blindness (0:015), Nausea (0:03) and Mining Fatigue (0:5)
  • 350-499:   Blindness (0:02), Nausea (0:04), Mining Fatigue (0:10) and Slowness (0:02)
  • 500-749:   Blindness (0:025), Nausea (0:05), Mining Fatigue  (0:15) and Slowness II (0:03)
  • 750+:         Blindness (0:03), Nausea (0:10), Mining Fatigue (0:20) and Slowness III (0:4)

-Every time you take damage  there is a 65% chance of having 0,1 seconds of Blindness to simulate the involuntary eye blink or the istant of confusion.

-All the blindness effects wrote in the crushing section have 25% chance to occurr (to simulate when you're hit in the head)

What's with the blindness everywhere? I'd like to be able to see whats attempting to murder me, so I can murder it back. The other effects make sense though.

What about something like semi-permanent blindness when the nerves from your eyes to your brain are damaged when hit really hard in the head with a crushing weapon

Will it be gone after sleep? Or would I need to make some sort of a potion? I think it should be gone after sleeping...  just to not make the game too difficult...
