      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Underground Farm

I scoured the forums for a topic such as this and came back empty handed, so I shall ask it myself.

 

The area I settled in is still covered in snow even in early summer and I am far too invested in this spot to move. In case the snow doesn't melt I would like to explore the option of building an underground farm in the hopes that I will actually be able to grow something. Is this even possible to do? I just want to ask before I either put in the resources to a pointless endeavor or abandon the world.

No. Crops that do not have access to sunlight will die. Even if they could grow without sunlight moving your farm underground wouldn't help because the cold would still kill them.

only thing I've ever got to work underground are fruit trees.
 

I have built glass green houses and grew veggies, but that was like patches ago, haven't tried since.
